★★☆☆☆ The list of tools and features is impressive but the size is not. I did not measure, but the whole kit looks to be about 4" x 6". Just compare the size of the credit card multi-tool to the size of the case and you will see what I mean. I like the features it has and in an emergency I wouldn't turn it down. But I wouldn't bet my life on it if I had other options. Still, not a bad idea to throw one in the trunk of the car just in case.

This kit goes well beyond the basics of survival with some EDC items like the self-defense pen, foldable knife, carabiner hook and more. I only gave it four stars because the case is too small for storage - once you open it, it’s difficult to get everything back in there. Perfect for camping, to keep in your car to to gift to an outdoors enthusiast. Good value for the money.

★★★★☆ Maybe I'm wrong but I did not take all the items out to look at them. I took the advice of others before that once out of the carrier the items do not go back. The container looks sturdy. Our family has a "to go" bag all set up for emergency situations so this went straight in the bag. Most of these items we have in a larger supply chest should we be stuck at home during a disaster situation.

★★★★★ There was nothing to dislike on this kit. In as much as survival kits go this is a good one. The prices is awesome and the components are all good quality. I mean seriously if its for your survival it can't be crap that will break on first use. You can throw one of these in a bug out back and you have added many essential tools for a little more than a $20 dollar bill. I have been picking up survival gear for many years and I'm happy and impressed with what I got with this one. I find it very difficult to believe that anyone would not be happy with one of these.

Everything is really high quality and has multiple purposes. This kit is very efficient in the amount of tools it has. I have never had a spoon that is also a knife, saw, and whistle, it comes with two different fire makers so you can make twice the amount of fire. I feel much safer and secure having this survival kit around. Great Purchase and even better gift!

★☆☆☆☆ Get a Sawyer-Mini. Seriously, I have used Both on camping trips. You need jaws of steel to suck water through a Lifestraw. With a Sawyer or other filters with pump/squeeze action, you won't rip out your fillings trying to get water. Also, you have to lie on the ground, whereas other filters come with collapsible pouches AND a straw if the pouch breaks.Before everyone down-votes this post, you Really need to watch actual videos of people who use these routinely. Everyone switches to a filter with a pump or squeeze method of filtration.Lifestraws are fantastic concept, but unfortunately, it is just too dang hard to use.

★☆☆☆☆ I don't generally write reviews and am sorry to have the first one be so negative but the life straw was a total and utter disappointment. I bought it for my daughter to take to Mexico with strict instructions to not drink anything without it going through the life straw. She would have died of dehydration had she followed my instructions. We followed the instructions from the video to soak it prior to first use but we could not get a single drop of water to come through it. By then it was too late (and used) to return to Amazon and when I reached out to Life Straw I did not receive a reply. Too bad. They are a great concept and I was planning to but one for each family member to have in an emergency pack but I won't do that after this experience.

★★★★★ It is always good to keep an survival kit in your home. Never know when the zombies will come. It's necessary when camping, hiking, hunting, biking, climbing, traveling, adventures, survival and in emergency situation. Also great for a gift.

★★★★☆ Firestarter, compass, blanket, saw, and carrying case were all better quality than I was expecting at this price. The carrying case has 4 clips with a rubber o-right seal that would probably keep things dry in any conditions short of complete submersion. The steel card multi tool is too small to be useful as a wrench (I don't see nuts that small day to day), but the can opener, saw, and knife edges would do what they're meant to. The multi-tool pliers feel a little cheap, but are definitely sturdy enough for occasional use. The flashlight was brighter than I expected. Whistle is loud, and made of plastic with a tiny compartment.This is good value for the price. Everything in here is worth it's weight to carry around. I added the following items which all easily fit into the included case: Iodine water tablets for up to 25 quarts, 2nd mylar blanket (to use as a shelter), 10 ft 550 paracord, fire tinder in waterproof bag, steri-strips, adhesive bandages. This will go into my day-hike pack along with a solar/crank powered cell phone charger/flashlight.

★★★★★ This kit has been clutch during a pandemic, while becoming disabled with no medical help for 200 days (injured Feb 7). I use parts of the kit every day, particularly the knife. I broke down the kit into several different, smaller kits for specific purposes (tools, medical, disability gear, protection, energy). But this kit has provided a great core for those kits, and is small and lightweight - so I don’t sweat my parts off AS bad as usual during hot summer months, hopping on one foot usually. The quality of the knife and hatchet are great, but I haven’t tested the hatchet yet for real. And the tiny medical kit is also super light; I was able to squeeze extra adhesive bandages and another small item, I forget. It is handy to carry around in my daily, everyday use backpack, which is this backpack (despite also buying a large backpack and a solar backpack). I added clips to carry additional plastic shopping bags, so I can carry a full week’s worth of groceries. Overall, I gave 4 stars on a couple of items, but it was honestly what I wanted - I knew this was a smaller, lighter, less hot backpack that has made this ordeal - 200 days tomorrow - a little easier.

I liked this package because everything included is useful, like the multitool, emergency blanket and poncho, a telescoping tube used to blow on fires from a safe distance, and my favorite, the spork/knife combo which even has a whistle built into the sheathe. The only problem I had with anything in the package was what wasn’t in it: the fishing equipment. Mine didn’t come with any. I placed a second order to see if it was a mistake or faulty advertising, and the second order came with everything it was supposed to. So definitely make sure you get everything that is advertised, but otherwise, everything in the kit has a great use and is well-built without any flaws. 5/5 stars

The kit comes in a small plastic ballistic case with some nice clips to totally seal it and make it waterproof. The knife that it comes with is high quality and has a nice handle that opens up quickly. The multifunctional card actually came in handy a fee times this weekend when I needed a screwdriver. The blankets are a nice addition and I suggest keeping them in your car in case of breakdowns. Overall great kit.

I like to go on camping trips every few months with my dad and all of the tools worked just like they were supposed to and all have held up well after multiple uses. There are lots of interesting pieces inside that have parts that become surprisingly useful, even if you didn't think they would be in the first place. I especially liked the Firestarter and wire saw, and the kit as a whole is now a necessity on any camping trip for us.
