The USA Is Doomed

Rate This Article

Kevin Felts, blogger and survivalistThe United States of America is being bled to death. It will not be long before the bleeding takes its toll, as to which society will have some serious issues to face. Do we stop the bleeding, or do we allow the Federal Reserve to print more money out of thin air?

In the following article I will provide three examples of how the United States is being bled to death from within. All of these examples are based off actual people, and actual events. The names are not being disclosed to protect their privacy.

Example 1

This family has been on some kind of welfare for at least 20 years, and for 2 generations.

The grandmother was on welfare for the birth of all of her children.

The children were raised with medicaid providing health insurance, and food stamps providing nutrition assistance.

When one of the children reached 18 years of age, the grandmother applied for, and received social security disability for the child. So now, the grown child will never have to work, and will receive health care for the rest of its life, and without ever having to work a single day in her life.

I Wants Me Some Welfare

Rate This Article

I am sick and tired of supporting people who are too lazy, or too stupid to get a job.  Why should I work a 40 hour a week job, pay child support, pay for health care, barely scrap by,,, when people on welfare get all kinds of free stuff.

I want me some free food.

I want me some free housing.

I want someone to help me pay my electric bill.

I want the state to pay for my kids health care.

Right now I pay close a little over $600 a month for health care and temporary disability insurance.

I have been working since 1984, and what do I have to show for it?  Not too much.  I may not make a lot of money, but shouldn’t I be able to keep a good percentage of what I earn?

Health insurance alone takes a HUGE bite out of my pay check.  Instead of helping the working class out, taxes and health care cost continue to skyrocket.  I have not received a cost of living raise in something like 5 years.  During that 5 years prices continue to spiral out of control.

You want to know what the problem is?  I was raised with this little thing called a work ethic.  A work ethic is this concept that I believe I should support myself and my family.

Up until around the 1990s there was a stigma that went along with being on welfare.

Today, it seems that people are proud to be on welfare.  I gots me some welfare and food stamps,,,, and people see no issue with that.

Welfare is a form of stealing.  The government takes from those that do, and gives to those that do not.  Too lazy to work?  No problem, here is your housing voucher, cell phone, and food stamps.

I am pissed off that this welfare nation reelected obama.  It seems that very few people care about the greater good.  Who in their right mind would vote for welfare reform if they are on welfare.  The more people on welfare, the better chance the democrats have of being reelected.

Democrats – welfare for everyone

Republicans – how are we going to pay for this

Democrats – we will just tax the rich,,, I mean the middle class

Republicans and Democrats – maybe the federal reserve can print more money?  Yay, more money to spend,,,,,,.

Sooner or later that “printing more money” has to be paid back.  Why is going to be paying the bill?  Not the people on welfare because they aint got no job.

By reelecting obama, special interest groups screwed the working middle class up the ass.  One day this house of cards is going to come crashing down.

When the house of cards does come crashing down, there is going to be hell to pay.

Random Thoughts October 18 2012 State of the Nation

Rate This Article

Over the past few weeks I have been posting some of these random thoughts articles.  This type of format gives me the chance to address a wide range of topics in a single post.

What I would like to discuss in this post is the state of the nation.

The United States is going to hell in a handbag, and none of the talking heads in Washington seem to care.  Either they don’t care, or they have been paid not to care.

Food stamp program has increased 100 percent under President Barack Obama.  According to an article on the Daily Caller, food stamp participation is up 100% over the past 4 years.

When obama was elected president the people were hoping for change, but is that the type of change yall were wanting?

Do not blame me for obama getting into office, I voted Libertarian Party.

Contributing to society

Rate This Article

In a republic, how much should citizens contribute back to society?

Is there an obligation to contribute?

What should society do about people who “refuse” to contribute?

Lets use 2 groups of people as examples:

1 – criminals.
2 – individuals who make a career out of welfare.*

* There is a difference in someone that uses welfare as a helping hand to get back on their feet, and someone who lives their entire life off the system. This is about people who expect society to provide for them, while returning nothing to very little back.

Society frowns upon criminals, probably because the criminal takes more from society then they contribute.

Historically, society has tolerated and somewhat frowned upon welfare. We know that members of society need a helping hand from time to time. There is no shame in needing help. The shame should come from being too lazy to help yourself.

Why are the people who are too lazy to provide for themselves not ashamed? Over the past few decades, any shame that was associated with welfare has all but disappeared. Why is that?

Why do people vocally complain about the money spent on criminals, but are less vocal with people on welfare?

Another welfare parasite article

Rate This Article

Welfare is one of my favorite topics. I have been working since around 1984 when I went to work at Market Basket in Bridge City Texas.

Welfare Parasite 1

A friend of the family works for a utility company. A couple of days ago the friend shared a story about a man whos services were cut off. The services were cut off for a $275 bill.

About 3 days after the services were cut off, the individual walks into the office talking on his i-phone, ask how much the bill is going to be, then tells the person behind the counter that a community outreach program is going to pay the bill for him.

The person behind the counter tells the person the community outreach program will not pay the late fee or the reconnect fee.

The man gets off his i-phone, then pulls out a $100 bill to pay the late fee and reconnection fee.

If you have the money to pay a cellphone bill, then you have money to at least pay “part” of your utility bills.

There is a certain family my wife and I know, the family has been on some kind of welfare for 3 generations.

Intellectual Capacity of Career welfare individuals

Rate This Article

Last night as I was closing the trap door on the chicken coop, one of the chickens pecked at my hand. I started thinking about the chicken that pecked my hand, and people who make a career out of welfare.

I bought the chick when it was a couple of days old. For the past 5 months I have fed, watered, protected, and even built the chickens (13 chickens in all) a nice coop with an enclosed run.

The way I treated my chickens is “about” the same way the government treats those on welfare. The government feeds, protects and gives welfare recipients a place to live.

Instead of appreciating what has been given to them, both the chickens and the welfare recipients pecks the hand that feeds it.

There is a reason why chickens are called bird brained. They can not comprehend anything outside of their natural instincts.

Where does this leave people who bring crime, drugs and violence into poverty ridden areas? Are those people unable to comprehend what would happen if the government stopped providing those benefits?

When I was closing the coop up, it was right at dark. The chickens were starting to get into the roost and settle down for the night. I took the chicken that pecked at my hand, set it outside the coop on the ground. The chicken did not know what to do. It was on the ground when it knew it was supposed to be in the roost, and it was away from its friends. The chicken just stood there. I picked the chicken up and placed it back into the coop.

What would happen if the government suddenly withdrew welfare benefits? How would the people react that know no other way of life?

Example #1

Mom and dad have 5 kids and have been on welfare for close to 20 years.

One of the children has been diagnosed as being bio-polar, 18 years old, receiving social security disability.

Liberals are detrimental to national security

Rate This Article

What if I told you there was a group out there that was undermining our national security? A group that was working together to weaken the nation and to drive us into debt. Well, its really two groups that work together. One group is the giver, the other group is the receiver.

After I tell you about these two groups, what would you be willing to do about it? Would you be willing to change the way you vote?

The two groups that are working together are the liberals, and the people on welfare.

Liberals

Lets start at the root of the problem, and those people are the liberals. These are the democrats, the people who think social programs such as welfare, government oversight, food stamps, public housing,,, are good ideas.

Lets not forget that bill clinton signed free trade agreements into law.

So not only do liberal democrats think putting people on the public dole is a good idea, but sending our jobs overseas is a good idea also.

Who pays for all of the social programs such as welfare and food stamps?

Its not the poor paying, they dont have any money.

Its not the rich paying, because they can buy influence with the law makers.

Its the middle class that ends up paying.

Welfare roaches after a disaster

Kevin Felts, blogger and survivalistWhen you have 2 and 3 generations of a family on government benefits, people grow up “thinking” that is how they are supposed to live.

I know a certain family first hand, the mom has 5 or 6 kids, she does not work, and the dad makes barely above minimum wage. The family has been drawing food stamps for close to 20 years. One of the kids is in her mid 20s and works. Another girl is around 19 years old. Think about that. The 20 year old was raised on food stamps from birth all the way until she became an adult. And now, the 20 year is pregnant, has no education, and does not work.

The 19 year old claims she is bipolar and is disabled.  Guess what, the government signed off on it, and she draws a monthly disability check.  What the hell is that?  How can someone capable of working able to draw disability?

With the Hurricane Katrina people at the shelter, I saw a lot of young pregnant ladies, whos baby daddy would not work. The mom and baby bring in food stamps and whatever else they can get, and the baby daddy is along for the ride.

I did some volunteer work at a evacuee shelter for some of those Hurricane Katrina people.

One lady walked in, sat down, was handed the application to fill out before she could stay at the shelter. She looked at the application, handed it back to the lady behind the desk (without a single line filled in), and said “I was in public housing in New Orleans, I want to sign up for public housing here and what about my food stamps.”  I remember thinking to myself, “what the hell lady, you ever hear of this thing called a job?”.

Another lady showed up at the shelter and made some phone calls to the company worked for. She spent the night in the shelter. The next day the company had her an apartment and a job position in Houston. She was in and out of that shelter in less then 24 hours,,, maybe even less then 12 hours.

Another lady at the shelter was a teacher, she went to the local school and applied for a job.

Another lady went to work at the local corner store.

When the people from the local unemployment office showed up at the shelter to help the people find jobs, a lot of them refused to fill out the paper work; all they wanted was their food stamps and public housing.

There are 2 types of people, those that will help themselves, and those that look for a handout.

Personal Responsibility

Rate This Article

Kevin Felts blogger and survivalistBaby daddy not helping you with the bills? Maybe you need to get your lazy ass off the couch and get a job.

It is not the job of the tax payers to compensate stupid people. Dont know how to prevent your girlfriend from getting knocked up? Maybe you need to make a trip to the free clinic and get your nuts cut.

Got more kids then you can afford, STOP HAVING MORE!!!!!!! Welfare is not your private checkbook.

My wife and I have a friend of the family that is squeezing out her first child. The baby daddy said he was having an asthma attack, so he gets in the car and drives almost an hour to the next hospital. Keep in mind, the mom was in a hospital. Why not walk over to the emergency room instead of driving to the next town? Because the sorry piece of trash baby daddy wanted to get as far away from the mom and the baby as he can get. The piece of trash baby daddy is around 25 years old, working for minimum wage at the local china-mart, does not provide health coverage for the mom or the baby, does not have a car, and does not even have a drivers license. But yet he can knock the mom up?

The mom on the other hand has a good job, has private health insurance, has a car and has a drivers license.

What the hell was she thinking when she had sex with a bum?

Now the mom and the baby are going to have to deal with a dead beat dad for the rest of their lives.

Its called Personal Responsibility

For the women – Do not get knocked up by a bum.

For the men – If you can not take care of your kids, do not go around getting women pregnant.

To yourself and to the public

It might just my silly idea of how the world is supposed to work, I think people should contribute to society more then the take out.

Lets take a welfare bum that lives in public housing, gets several hundred dollars worth of food stamps and does not work. How much does that person contribute to society? Probably nothing to very little. People that live that lifestyle are nothing more then a drain on society.

When there is more taken out of the bank that goes in, sooner or later you go broke. And that is the direction the U.S. is headed.

Children learn behavior from the environment they are raised in. What happens when welfare bums have kids and do not teach the children the value of work? We end up with generations of welfare parasites.

The United States government is going broke while more and more people stand there with their hands out.

Middle Class Caught In The Middle

Maybe part of the problem is that the middle class has been caught in a catch 22. The manufacturing jobs that supported the middle class have been sent to china and other cheap labor countries. So what are the people supposed to do?

Just as crops whether in the fields without rain, so the middle class withers away without good paying jobs.

I think that people are hard workers. It is in our nature to do a hard days work. I also feel that the majority of people turn to welfare only as a last ditch effort, maybe as a last resort.

So what is the middle class supposed to do? May go back to college and sink our families into debt for student loans? Maybe learn a skill or a trade?

As a parent, you have a responsibility to provide for your family.

As a citizen, you do not have the right to be a willful burden upon the community.

The keyword there is “willful”. There is a difference in being down on your luck and needing a helping hand, and freeloading off the system.

We have a responsibility to ourselves, our family and our community to be responsible for our actions, and the effects those actions have on the community.

Housing Bubble

I think we need to talk about prices for a little bit, and especially home prices. When the housing bubble was going from the early 2000s to around 2008, home prices doubled, tripled and then quadrupled. But yet wages stayed the same. How can something justify such price increases? People need to use a little common sense. When something is doubling in price, something is wrong – especially when it comes to a life essential. Housing is essential, unless you like living in a cardboard box.

Cost of health care pisses me off

Rate This Article

survivalistWhy do I have a copay when I pay for health coverage, but the welfare leeches get their healthcare for free?

My wife needs a surgery, so far we are out close to $2,000 just for copays and deductible.  What the hell is going on with this nation?  Medicare / Medicaid is taken out of my paycheck, but I can not use it?  Not only do I have to pay into the medicare/medicaid system, but I also have to pay for my families health care, plus deductibles.

The welfare parasites can sit on their ass at home, never have to look for a job, get free medical coverage, free dental, free vision,,,, all at the tax payers expense.

It pisses me off that I have to pay my insurance + a copay, while people on the medicare system do not have to pay anything, or have to pay very little.

I am not not saying that “everyone” on medicare does not deserve it.

I “am” saying there is a lot of abuse of the system.

Welfare is supposed to be a support system, and not a way of life. The problem is, too many people have made welfare a way of life.

My wife and I know a young lady that is around 18 or 19 years old.  A few months ago she squeezed out the families third generation of welfare recipients.  Someone explain to my how that is “supposed” to work out?  How does society tolerate generations of people to live on welfare?

Related ArticleCulture of Entitlement

Three generations of welfare recipients from the same family?  Really?  What the hell is wrong with our society?  If someone can get knocked up, get out of bed, go to the mail box to get that welfare check, or to the food stamp office to get that food stamp card refilled, go shopping,,, they can get their ass to work and contribute something to society.

How have we reached a point where the people that work are punished, and the people too lazy to work get a free ride?

Why am I punished with $2,000 worth of deductibles and copays, and the people too lazy to work get off owing nothing?

Man, this pisses me off.

It pisses me off that I work for a living and I have to pay more then my fair share.  While at the same time some welfare bum is sitting at home eating bon-bons, popping out kids every couple of years and playing on the internet.

At the very least people that draw public assistance should pick up trash on the side of the road.  Or better yet, volunteer to clean up around the court house, cut the grass at the police department,,,, do “something” to contribute back to society.

But no.  People that draw benefits from the state do not have to contribute anything.

Just claim you are bipolar at 18 years old and get a check for the rest of your life.  Do not worry about working, get your check and free health care from the government and suck off the public tit.

If I have to pay $2,000 in copays, why can’t some welfare bum have to cut my grass or wash my car?  At the very least, contribute something back to society.  If the working class is supporting the welfare class, the very least they can do is give something back.

What is your opinion on welfare?

The value of hard work

Rate This Article

survivalistOver the past few months I have been harping on thieves and welfare leaches.  Maybe its time for a change of pace?  Maybe we should talk about the value of hard work.  One thing is for sure, neither welfare parasites and thieves understand what its like to do a hard days work.

If are drawing social benefits because you faked a disability, or are too lazy to work, you need to click off this site because this article is going to be over your head.  Describing hard work to a welfare parasite, is like describing what its like to be a brick to a twinkie.

A work crew says “we are going to build a way with bricks”.  Mud says “do what?  You are going to build a wall with what?  There is no way I can build that wall.”  Thats right mud, you are not going to build a wall.  Well, you can build an adobe wall out of mud bricks.  but building an adobe wall takes a lot of work.  As we all know, welfare parasites do not like to work.

Workers = bricks

Mud = welfare parasites*

*Not that mud is really a welfare parasites.  Mud stinks, its running, and it can be nasty; kinda like what welfare leeches are like.

Back to the story.

Nations are not built with mud, nations are built with bricks and steel and hard work and sweat and sacrifice.

Roads are not built with mud, roads are built with hard work, sweat and asphalt.

Ships are not built with mud, ships are built with hard work, steel, welding machines, cranes, and lots of sweat.

Forest are not cleared with mud, they are cleared with bulldozers, skitters, chainsaws, hard work and sweat.

Well, on second thought, forest can be cleared with mud, when there is a mudslide.  Lets think about that mudslide idea for a minute.  You want to know what a mudslide reminds me of?  A welfare bum rush.  A bum rush is when a bush of people rush into a store, grab everything they can, and run away.  That is how the lazies are with the welfare office.  They rush in to the welfare office, get all the benefits they can.  then they run home to get back on the internet.

What is the difference in a mud slide wiping out a forest, and welfare bums rushing the welfare office?  One destroys forest, the other destroys a nation.

Hard workers are like bricks.  We hold up under pressure, we make stuff, and we look good while we build stuff.

Before modern road construction materials, bricks were used to make roads.  Even though the road rough, the bricks got the wagons, horses and people up and out of the mud.

Lets think about that for a minute – in ancient times, bricks held society up, and out of the mud.  Isn’t that the way it is today?  the workers hold society up.  The people that do the hard, sweaty and nasty work are the bricks that makes everyday life possible for the rest of us.

Without bricks separating the mud from society, society as we know it would come to an end.

Mud makes it hard for the rest of society to operate.  Mud slows everything down, tires get clogged, the roads get slippery, progress slows to a snails pace.

Bricks on the other hand, they are used to make society what it is today.

Why do we work? Lets just draw Social Security disability

Rate This Article

survivalistBefore we begin, I want to make it clear that there is a difference between someone who refuses to work, and someone who can not work.

The system should help those who can not work.

The system should not help those who are too lazy to work.

My wife and I had a friend over last night. As we were talking, the topic slowly turned a certain person that we know, how people abuse social security disability and welfare abuse. The discussion turned to a 18 year old lady, who is drawing social security disability, is pregnant and not married.

The person claims they are disabled because they are bi-polar. With so many job opportunities out there, surely there is something they can do. Why cant this person stock groceries, dig ditches, cut grass,,,, preform some job service that is not affected by her disability.

Do you think welfare needs to be reformed?

Illegal immigration and welfare abuse

survivalistBefore we begin, I want to make it clear that everyone at some time or another may need a helping hand.  People lose their jobs, run into financial problems and need some help.

However, the support system was never intended as a way of life.

Our society has cultivated four groups of people:

Group 1 – people who think they are entitled to welfare, or entitled to other social benefits.

After Hurricane Andrew passed through Florida, there were stories of people sitting in their front yards waiting for the government to clean up the mess.  When asked why they were not cleaning up their own yard, the reply was something like “the government is supposed to take care of stuff like that”.  It was reported that one family had been on welfare for 3 generations.  The family had no idea what it was like to do something for yourself.  In their minds, the government should do everything.

After hurricane katrina hit new orleans, I was required by my employer to go to the shelter and help out. In all, I think there were close to 200 people at the shelter – men, women and children.

Around 2 weeks after the evacuees arrived at the shelter, a bus was rented to take the people to a local workforce center to help them get a job. Some of the adults REFUSED to get on the bus. They said something like “you can not make me look for a job”. The people were receiving free housing, free food, free medical checkups,,,. Why look for a job if you get everything for free?
