What to Expect in the 2018 Midterm Elections

Kevin Felts political commentator

What can we expect to see in the 2018 midterm elections? Chances are democrats will be handed a stunning defeat in the 2018 midterm elections. Why? Because democrats have no platform.

Rather than addressing the economy and healthcare reform, democrats are focused solely on assassinating Trumps character.

Democrats have a chance to work with a president who wants to do what is best for the United States. He wants to address real health care reform. What are democrats doing? They are fighting him tooth and nail.

If a democrat president wanted to change the Affordable Health Care Act, democrats would be all for it. However, when a Republican wants to address healthcare, Democrats fight with everything they have.

President Trump has tried to work with democrats on various issues, and the democrats have refused. Bring the nation to a grinding halt is not going to help them in the 2018 midterm elections.

States Going Broke

Democrats Reaction To State Of The Union Address

Kevin Felts political commentator

Anyone who is on social media has surely seen the pictures of Democrats reacting to President Donald Trumps State of the Union address. In all honesty, we should not be surprised.

Democrats have a lot to be worried about. The 2018 mid-term elections will be at the end of 2018, and with a booming economy, voting democrat means voting against ones on best interest.

The Democrat platform is built on fear, and has always been built on fear. This goes all the way to before the United States Civil War. Democrats will whisper in your ear, “See that person over there, they want to hurt you. Don’t worry though, I am going to protect you.”

With the passage of the Civil Rights act Democrats had to find another group to demonize, so they slowly changed tactics to demonizing white male conservatives. Democrats will whisper in the ear of minorities, “See that Republican, they want to hurt you.” Usually, the implied hurt is through cutting social benefits, or enforcing immigration laws.

Now that Trump has shown he is will to work with Democrats on immigration, and has shown he is putting the United States first, it is getting more difficult for Democrats to demonize him.

When Trump talked about minority unemployment being at an all time low, Democrats sat on their hands.

When Trump talked about fair trade deals, Democrats sat on their hands.

Turned 50 Years Old

Working on the bar-b-q pit

I recently turned 50 years old, and life has not turned out like what I had expected. When I graduated high school and went to work, I believed that if someone worked hard, and was a dedicated employee, the employer would treat you well. That was all a lie. Pretty much everything I was taught in school had been a lie. The only thing that was not a lie, was going to college.

In 1986 when I graduated high school, shipyards along the gulf coast had collapsed due to switching to OPEC for our oil production. I thought a young man could leave high school, apply himself, and everything would be ok. It was a fantasy that was no longer realistic.

1994 was when I decided to go to college. I was working at a welding shop in Southwest Louisiana that did not provide any real benefits. There was no vacation time, just a few paid holidays, no 401k, and no health insurance for my family. Something had to change. I had been working in various welding shops for eight years, and knew they were a dead end. So I went to Lamar College and talked to them.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program

Kevin Felts working on his bar-b-q pit

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) has everyone up in arms when President Trump rescinded the program.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals problem has been decades in the making, going all the way back to the 1980s and Ronald Regan. Yet, DACA is supposed to be President Trumps fault? This showdown between democrats and Republicans has been decades in the making.

President Obama ruled with a pen. What can done with a pen can be undone with a pen. Rather than getting congress to work together, obama signed an executive order.

The second issue are parents who brought their children to a nation without going through the proper channels. What kind of example did those parents set for the children? “Sure we are breaking the law, so what?”

Dear Democrats You’re Welcome

Kevin Felts, blogger and political commentator

For everyone who was worried about how Donald Trump was going to do as president, and for everyone who voted for Hillary, you’re welcome. You are welcome because the fly-over states did not believe Hillary.

We voted for someone who would fulfill Obama’s failed promises of hope and change.

Why didn’t we vote for Hillary? Because we saw through her lies. Let’s take equal pay for women as an example. Hillary promised, when she is elected president, women would make as much as men. Well, we already have the equal pay act of 1963. So what was Hillary going to do, pass a law to enforce a law?

During the 2016 elections, Democrats were playing their age old agenda of tell a lie until people believe it.

Democrats, You’re Welcome For:

Trump Sets New Standard For Politicians

Ever since politics was invented, people lied, took bribes, made fake promises, whatever it took to get elected. The voters knew this. However, deep in our hearts we hoped the politicians might keep some of their promises. After all, when someone makes a promise, they are supposed to least “try” and keep it, right?

Politicians however, do not even try to keep their promises. There is no explaining why something did not work out. Such as obama making promises that healthcare insurance would cost as much as a cell phone bill. Or that a college education should be affordable. Regardless of how many promises obama failed to keep, he was reelected. What does that say about the voters?

Then Donald Trump came along. He made promises, and he is keeping those promises. Unlike presidents over the past 100 years, Donald Trump is holding true to his campaign promises.

The Harvey Weinstein Paradox

Kevin Felts, blogger and political commentator

What if I told you the acts Harvey Weinstein is accused of are acceptable under the liberal agenda? Liberal socialist democrats exploit certain groups to promote an agenda. Their favorite group to exploit are children, especially dead children. Their next favorite group to exploit are minorities. Children and minorities are favorite targets of predators and liberals alike.

If liberals exploit children and minorities to promote their agenda, what is wrong with someone using their power and influence to get what they want? According to the liberal philosophy of tolerance, there should be nothing wrong with it.

The difference between children and adults, adults can speak up, while dead children can not, and minorities usually remain silent.

The Shock And Awe Of President Donald Trump

Kevin Felts political commentator

The people of the United States are in a state of shock and awe over President Donald Trump. He is holding true to his election promises and doing exactly what he needs to do to restore the USA as a world leader.

Let’s be perfectly honest, when Donald Trump announced his run for the presidency, the earth shook with laughter. Main stream media mucked Trump as if he were a red headed step child. The political elite laughed and laughed, but slowly, their tears of joy turned to tears of anguish.

There have been numerous questions as to why Donald Trump was put in the presidents chair.

The answer is simple, the people were tired of business as usual. We are tired of career politicians who are out of touch with everyday working people. It was the people with their unyielding desire for change that put Donald Trump in the White House.

Why are the people of the United States in a state of shock and awe? Probably because we have not had a strong leader in a generation.

Strong Leader

Liberals Acting Like conservatives

Kevin Felts, blogger and political commentator

Usually, a conservative is associated with someone who resist schange. With that in mind, it is nice to see progressive liberals acting like conservatives.

When it comes to just about anything having to do with changing the obama agenda, liberals act like conservatives and resist change. What are these new found conservatives afraid of? For example, the net worked just fine before 2015. Yet, listen to the progressives at Google and the sky is falling.

Talk about improving healthcare, and new found conservatives protest in droves.

Revise the tax code, new found conservatives protest.

Why are liberals flipping and becoming conservatives? Trump has an agenda, just like obama did. If people opposed the obama agenda, they were called racist. What do we call people who resist Trumps agenda? Maybe call them right wing conservatives?

Democrats Becoming Increasingly Unhinged

Kevin Felts blogger and political commentator

Since the election of Donald Trump the Democrats have become unhinged. This has interrupted the peaceful transfer of power.

When one party loses an election, they are supposed to accept the results and work with the party that now has the majority vote. This peaceful transfer of power did not happen after the 2016 election.

Democrat controlled media continues to push the idea that Russia swayed the election. Since nothing is coming from that, now articles of impeachment have been filed.

There are numerous reasons why Hillary lost, and none of them are related to Russia. The honest truth is, democrats are undermining the republic. Rather than working with the GOP and President Trump, democrats are digging in their heals and will grid lock the government for the next four years, and maybe even the next eight years.

My dad told my today’s democrats are not the same democrats from decades ago. Democrats use to stand for the working people. Now they stand for gay rights, illegal immigration, and debauchery such as abortion. Millennial democrats see any corporation with republicans as an act of treason against the democrat party. What the millennials do not understand, the party’s have to work together, or the government will grind to a halt. There “has” to be some give and take on both sides.

Stances That Cost Hillary Clinton The 2016 Election

Kevin Felts political commentator

While liberals continue to ask why did Hillary Clinton lose the election, the answer lies within her stance on certain issues. What Hillary told the people and want she said to Wall Street were two different things. Rather than addressing the issues, Hillary played on the fears and emotions of minorities.

President Obama promised a lot of stuff. Very little of what he promised came to fruition. States who expanded Medicaid under Obamacare are running out of money, as was be expected. Companies still have offshore tax havens.

Instead of working with congress to close to tax havens, president Obama sat on his hands. That tax money could of been used to send young adults from under privileged families to college.

The People Want a President Who:

Race Had Nothing To Do With Trump Winning

The race baiters are at it again. This time they are callign the election of Donald Trump a, “Whitelash.” As in whites are lashing out at the United States having a black president.

Honest truth, the middle class is tired of business as usual. We are tired of out jobs being sent to China. China surpassed the United States as the worlds largest trading partner.

Donald Trump won the election based on President Obamas failed policies and the fear mongering done by Hillary Clinton. President Obama promised hope and change, and all we got was mandated health insurance. Rather than working with both parties, President Obama tried to rule by exectuive order, and people are tired of it.

There Is The Issue Of:

Who Is To Blame For Hillary Clinton Losing The 2016 Presidential Election

Kevin Felts, blogger and political commentator

Who is to blame for Hillary Clinton losing the 2016 presidential election? Start by blaming liberal agendas, wall street, liberal elite, globalist,,, everyone who has turned their back on everyday working people.

Hillary Clinton losing and Donald Trump winning is the result of the government turning its back on the people for decades.

To understand and explain the election of 2016 we need to go back to the 1970s. All the way back to when Richard Nixon was president.

Richard Nixon – Let’s start back in the 1970s with Richard Nixon. Nixon opened relations with China. Shortly after toy company started moving production to China. Factories closed, people started losing their jobs and company profits started going up. Wall Street loved not having to pay workers a fair wage.

2014 Midterm Elections

Kevin Felts blogger and political commentator

2014 midterm elections are over, Democrats lost, Republicans won.

What amazes me is the total deflection by the Democrats. As far as some of the Democrats are concerned, they lost because of some made up reason. According to an article on HotAir, Obama blames his own party for their losses. According to the article Democrats were fighting an uphill battle to start with.

Yes democrats were fighting an uphill battle, because of all the lying obama has done. Where the help for college students? Where is our health care that cost as much as a cell phone bill? Where are the jobs? Where is all the stuff we were promised? They were lies, all lies.

The leader of the Democratic party is not even willing to take partial responsibility for the election results. Maybe, just maybe, people walking out on obama should have tipped him off on how the election was going to end up.

Your own party members and your voters do not want to associate with you. Then you blame your own party for losing the election? Wow, just wow.

What’s It Like To Be Past Middle Age

Kevin Felts, blogger

At 46 years old I consider myself a little past middle age. That is unless I live to be at least 92 years old. So who knows, I might not even be at middle age yet.

Even at such a young age I look back and realize how much water has gone under the bridge. I wonder how I will feel when I am in my 60s or even 70s, that is if I live that long.

I often wonder how my mom and dad feel about how much things have changed in their lifetime? My dad did not get electricity and running water until he was somewhere around 6 years old. What is it like going from kerosene lamps and an outhouse to computers and the internet?

The past 19 years, from 1995 – 2014, humanity has made leaps and bounds with technology. We went from dial-up internet to smart phones in less than a generation. I look forward to what scientist will develop in the next 20 years.

Even as technology makes the world smaller and we are able to keep up with friends and family members easier, age old problems still exist. We still need jobs, we still worry about getting sick, we still worry about our kids, we still need to pay our bills, etc, the list goes on and on.

Maybe one day we can buy clones to work in our place? Then the cry baby liberals will complain about the clones civil rights and how they should not be used as slaves.
