Maryland is working on passing a new series of gun control laws. Some of which will endanger national security by restricting the types of magazines Beretta can import to its factories.
Beretta makes the M9 service pistol for the military and various law enforcement agencies.
Maryland is restricting the types of magazines Beretta can import into the state.
Maryland is restricting the types of magazines Beretta can keep in their warehouses.
Beretta being able to produce weapons and magazines for the military and law enforcement is a matter of national security.
Do the liberals not realize that Maryland will be losing jobs, and will also be jeopardizing national security if new gun laws are passed?
Who needs a job when the government provides food stamps, phones, housing and medical care?
Not only is Maryland sacrificing national on the alter of false security, but they will also be driving up unemployment and driving up taxes for those of you who still have a job.
Everytime there is an incident of gun related violence, it seems the crazies start coming out the woodwork like roaches in a wood pile.
Do gun haters just not understand what the 2nd amendment is about, or are they just stupid?
Lets take this video about an anti-gun rally.
Place the blame where it belongs, on mentally ill people.
Jeffrey Dahmer murdered 17 people, and did not use a single gun.
Adam Lanza murdered 26 people.
What did Jeffrey Dahmer and Adam Lanza have in common? Both of them were mentally ill.
If we want to make society safe, lets keep mentally ill people locked away from the general public. Whether its a gun, a knife, baseball bat,,,, mentally ill people will find a way to kill others.
The true purpose of the 2nd Amendment
Our forefathers established the 2nd amendment for a reason. George Washington did not write the British to death, he took up arms, established a militia, and killed the British.
This nation was founded and protected through the private ownership of guns.
Who protected New Orleans during the war of 1812? It was a bunch of men with their hunting rifles.
Who protected the United States when there was no Army, no Marines and no Navy? It was the everyday people.
If the United States were to be invaded, who would step up to protect the nation? It would be the armed citizens.
There is an old saying, the pen is mightier then the sword.
I would like to add a second part to that saying, “when the pen and the sword both fail to delivery the needed results, you pick up your rifle and the kill the enemy.”
Did the British give up because of what some newspaper wrote about King George III? The people that wrote negatively about the King of England were imprisoned. Our forefathers took up arms and killed every red coat they saw.
Did Mexico peacefully hand over Texas? It was armed citizens who beat General Santa Anna at the battle of San Jacinto on 21 April 1836 that won Texas its independence.
Hitler did not give up because of what some newspaper wrote about him. Our great grandfathers invaded Germany, bombed the hell out of it, and killed every nazi they saw. World War II was won by guns, bombs, gun powder and bullets. Pen and paper did not convince the nazis to give up.
Where did the guns for World War II come from? From factories that made civilian weapons before the war started.
It is the duty of every United States citizen to contribute something to national security. The United States will never be invaded. Why is that? Because we have 9 guns for every 10 people. No other nation in the world is as armed and ready for war as the United States.
The gun haters do not care about national security, nor do they not care about your rights.
The 2nd Amendment does two things, it protects our nation, and it protects our government. When the pen fails to protect the government, the 2nd Amendment ensures the people have the ability to protect the government through force.
What if I told you there was a group out there that was undermining our national security? A group that was working together to weaken the nation and to drive us into debt. Well, its really two groups that work together. One group is the giver, the other group is the receiver.
After I tell you about these two groups, what would you be willing to do about it? Would you be willing to change the way you vote?
The two groups that are working together are the liberals, and the people on welfare.
Lets start at the root of the problem, and those people are the liberals. These are the democrats, the people who think social programs such as welfare, government oversight, food stamps, public housing,,, are good ideas.
Lets not forget that bill clinton signed free trade agreements into law.
So not only do liberal democrats think putting people on the public dole is a good idea, but sending our jobs overseas is a good idea also.
Who pays for all of the social programs such as welfare and food stamps?
Its not the poor paying, they dont have any money.
Its not the rich paying, because they can buy influence with the law makers.
As usual, after a mass shooting the liberals go on a feeding frenzy for more gun control. Since most elected officials know that voting for more gun control would be political suicide, they are going after online ammunition sales.
All of this gun control and ammunition control talk is pure nonsense.
What the government needs to provide is gun training, and less gun control laws.
When this great nation was founded, who found the battles that won the war? It was the civilian volunteers. At the time of the revolutionary war, civilian had access to the same weapons that the British carried.
The war of 1812, who went to New Orleans and fought the British? Once again it was the civilian volunteers that answered the call to protect this nation.
The founding fathers subscribed to the idea that every able bodied male over the age of 18 years was a member of the citizen militia. This citizen militia is what the second amendment is all about.
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
In order to ensure the security of the nation, the population must be armed.
The citizen militia, being every able bodies male over the age of 18 years old is the last line of defense to an invading force.
The government has failed to properly arm and train the citizen militia.
One argument against the citizen militia is now that we have the armed forces, the citizen militia is no longer needed. The armed forces are the first line of defense against an attacker. The armed citizen is the last line of defense.
The national guard is the militia. Negative, the national guard is the second line of defense against an aggressor.
Any nation that dares invade the U.S.A. would have to not only fight the military, but also millions of armed citizens. This is why the founding fathers ensured the people have the right to keep and bear arms. So we can keep our firearms in our home, then bear the firearms to where and when the need arises.
In the discussion on firearms there are two types of people
1 – the people who believe in individual freedoms and personal responsibility.
2 – the people who believe in limited individual freedoms and think the government should be responsible.
The founding fathers believed in personal responsibility. I think I can prove the founding fathers believed in individual freedoms.
When it came time to fight oppression, the volunteers grabbed their rifles and killed the British.
The volunteers did not sit around and wait for a government to form, then wait for the government to raise an army, then wait for the army to fight the British.
When it came time for action, the volunteers and the founding fathers took action. They took the action needed to achieve a desired goal.
On one hand we have the people that do what needs to be done. On the other hand we have people who wait around for the government to do something.
Think free trade is good thing? Think cheap products that were made in china is a good thing?
After factories are closed and demolished, the value of the property goes down, this means less tax dollars brought in through school and property taxes. With less property and school taxes brought in from businesses, the tax burden is being shifted to homeowners. Do you ever wonder why your property taxes are so high? Maybe its related to the businesses shutting down and moving to china. Someone has to pay for the schools, since John Doe and company laid off a few hundred workers and moved to china, “someone” has to pickup the bill.
Trucks bringing supplies to factories buy fuel and other items at local stores.
When the news says that a factory is closing, the people do not realize the ripple effect that has through the community.
In Orange, Port Arthur and Beaumont Texas, there were several shipyards that shutdown in the early 1980s. Somewhere around 10,000 workers lost their jobs. Close to 5,000 of those people worked at one company.
30 years later, the area has yet to fully recover. In the early 1980s young people (early 20s) could go to work in a shipyard and make $13 and hour. These days that same age bracket works at best buy or wal-mart for around minimum wage. How is someone making barely over minimum wage supposed to buy a home, or buy a car, or raise a family?
Figure up how much money has been lost in the local economy over the past 30 years by going from $13, $14,,, $16 an hour to $8 an hour.
The writing is on the wall with Iran, China, and the past 20 years of free trade policy with china. The US has positioned itself in a corner of weakness. No longer are we a world leader. More like, the US is the laughing stock to the rest of the world. We willingly give our factories and technology away so companies can exploit cheap labor, all in the name of maximizing profits.
Our growing dependence on china is going to come back and bite us in the butt.
Israel may strike Iran sometime this spring or summer – I got a bad feeling about this.
China and India both rely on crude oil from Iran. Anything that disrupts the supply of crude to either India or china will cause ripples in the economies of those nations.
The economy of china is slowing down, mainly due to the US being in a recession. Disrupting the supply of crude oil could be seen as an attack on the nation security of china. How would the US feel if russia bombed Canada, causing the crude to stop following, which caused gas prices to spike, further repressing the economy.
This is my personal opinion, so take this with a grain of salt, or maybe even a truckload of salt.
I feel that Iran has positioned itself to be made a victim. Iran is supposed to be developing nuclear power plants for peaceful purposes, but everyone else seems to disagree.
Why would Iran make itself out to be a victim? To rally support, and have other nations come to its aid. Playing the victim is one of the first steps of jihad.
What I fear, if any nation strikes iran, china will jump in to protect its supply of oil.
I can see China sending anti-air missiles to Iran to protect the oil fields and refineries. Hopefully, no chinese troops will be involved.
The US is in no position to be in disagreement with china. China supplies a massive amount of our electronics. To cut off that supply of products would have a devastating effect on the US economy in the short term.
In the long term, cutting off a supply of products from china might help the US economy, as it would spur construction of new factories to replace the products from china.
The main question I ask myself, can the US fight an extended war with only our onshore manufacturing plants? In other words, “if” we went to war with someone like China, and we were no longer receiving shipments of computer parts, engine parts, computers, raw materials,,, how long could the US sustain its wartime efforts.
About the author: Kevin Felts graduated high school in 1986. After high school, Kevin went to work in a welding shop that built ASME certified pressure vessels. In 1987 Kevin went to work for a company that built AMSE certified heat exchangers. After working 4 years building heat exchangers, Kevin moved from shop to shop, until he went to community college and went into computers. In all, Kevin has around 14 – 15 years experience in the welding field.
Think working in a factory is only for stupid people that can not make it in college? Think free trade is good? Think cheap products from china (or anywhere else) is a good thing?
Besides economic stability, a strong manufacturing base can be retooled during times of war.
One of the problems with the USA, Canada,,, and the rest of the world, we have forgotten what its like to be in a “real” war. This war in Iraq is not a war where our cities are being bombed. We do not even have to buy war bonds like people did during WW2.
If the US went to war with someone like Russia or china, we have no steel mills, we have only a couple of ship yards spread out through the country to build ships with, most of our steel is made overseas, most of our welding tools are made overseas. The shipyards from the 1940s and 1950s have been demolished. All that remains in some locations is an open field. There “might” be left-overs from the old ships yards, but they are far and few in between.
