Human Cattle

Kevin Felts blogger and survivalistThis might piss some of you off, but too bad.  If you are a member of the middle class, you are nothing but human cattle.  And the bad part, you put yourself there.

The industrial revolution and the formation of unions gave rise to the middle class.

Free trade and unbridled capitalism will destroy the middle class.

One reason why the middle class developed is because companies were forced to pay a liveable wage.  A lack of skilled workers and collective bargaining through unions led to higher wages and benefits.

What happens when there is a surplus of labor, and companies can have their products built by cheap overseas labor? Do you really think the middle class will continue to exist?

Where do we lay the blame?

Do we blame the democrats? Do we blame the republicans? Both parties deserve equal blame for the economic situation the U.S. is in.

bill clinton promised not to sign NAFTA. What did the crawfish do after being elected? He signed NAFTA.

What kind of real change has obama brought to the nation? Mandated everyone purchase healthcare, signed into law that U.S. citizen can be held without due process. Which is nothing new. franklin roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 that allowed Japanese-Americans to be held without due process.

obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act.

franklin roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066.

Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong and Vladimir Lenin were probably proud to see the U.S. adopt such socialist and communist ideas as detaining U.S. citizens without due process. After all, isn’t that what the nazis did to the Jews in world War II? Didn’t the nazis round up the Jews like cattle and send them to the camps?

Stalin and Hitler followed through with their plans. obama is being cut off at the pass by the U.S. supreme court.

Lets not forget the republicans and their crimes against humanity, such as using torture.

William Howard Taft (a republican) introduced the income tax. Everytime you pay your property tax or income tax, you can thank the piece of trash william howard taft.

What president in the past 50 years has not committed some kind of crime against humanity? What U.S. president in the past 100 years has not committed some kind of crime against humanity?

President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 6102 which forbid the hoarding of Gold Coin, Gold Bullion, and Gold Certificates. In other words, fdr stripped long term wealth from the U.S. population and handed it over to the banks.

Why are the major two parties a viable option?

Why does anyone vote for the democrat party? Why has anyone voted for the democrat party for the past 100 years?

After that piece of trash taft introduced the income tax, why has anyone voted for the republicans?

People vote for the same two parties over and over because they are afraid of real change.

If you want real change, vote like it

This means you vote for a political party besides the democrats and republicans.

Personally, I vote straight line Libertarian Party. After bill clinton did a flip-flop on nafta, I knew that regardless of what political party we voted into office, we would never have real change.

The only solution is to kick both parties out and start over.

How many times has the Libertarian Party raised your taxes? How many times has the v voted to take your rights away? How many times has the Libertarian Party voted to detain U.S. citizens without due process?

If you want the middle class to die, keep voting for the two major parties.  Until you vote for someone besides the democrats or the republicans, you will never have real change.

Free trade the great destroyer

Boating on the Angelina RiverThink free trade is good thing? Think cheap products that were made in china is a good thing?

Think again.

After factories are closed and demolished, the value of the property goes down, this means less tax dollars brought in through school and property taxes. With less property and school taxes brought in from businesses, the tax burden is being shifted to homeowners. Do you ever wonder why your property taxes are so high? Maybe its related to the businesses shutting down and moving to china. Someone has to pay for the schools, since John Doe and company laid off a few hundred workers and moved to china, “someone” has to pickup the bill.

Trucks bringing supplies to factories buy fuel and other items at local stores.

When the news says that a factory is closing, the people do not realize the ripple effect that has through the community.

In Orange, Port Arthur and Beaumont Texas, there were several shipyards that shutdown in the early 1980s. Somewhere around 10,000 workers lost their jobs. Close to 5,000 of those people worked at one company.

30 years later, the area has yet to fully recover. In the early 1980s young people (early 20s) could go to work in a shipyard and make $13 and hour. These days that same age bracket works at best buy or wal-mart for around minimum wage.  How is someone making barely over minimum wage supposed to buy a home, or buy a car, or raise a family?

Figure up how much money has been lost in the local economy over the past 30 years by going from $13, $14,,, $16 an hour to $8 an hour.

Beware the conspiracy theory trap

survivalistConspiracy theories are like a disease, once they a foothold, they spread like wildfire. Unlike a virus, people have a choice whether they want to be infected with a conspiracy theory.

In the 1990s conspiracy theories spread like wildfire. But the gubberment supplied plenty of fuel for those fires. We had NAFTA, GATT, Waco an Ruby Ridge to help fan the flames of conspiracy theories.

When bill clinton did a flip flop on NAFTA, a lot of people saw that as a sign that big business had bought the U.S. government. Here we are 18 years after NAFTA was signed, and not much has changed. Big business still owns the U.S. government, the banks still get bailed out and wall street still gets bailed out from time to time.

As long as the 2 major parties stay in control, nothing is ever going to change, so there is no use in worrying about it.

Do not spend time worrying about things you can not change. You can not change the way people vote, so there is no use in hoping for real change.

Has anything in government changed in the past 20+ years? We still have free trade, china still has favored trade status, we still have millions of illegal immigrants, we still anchor babies, drugs are still a problem. What has government done in the past 25 years that was different then in the past 50 years?

In the 1950s, 60s, 70s and early 1980s we were fighting the communist.

In the 1990s, 2000s and now the 2010s we are fighting terrorist.

Since the end of world War II we have been in some kind of stand off with “someone”. Why cant we live in peace with other nations?

In the 1990s it seemed that things reached a head with Waco and the Oklahoma bombing incident.  The gubberment changing its story on Waco and the dead child helped fan the flames of government hate.  When you see tanks ramming a building that is on fire with children inside, its a little difficult not to get angry.

Then there was the Ruby Ridge / Randy Weaver incident.  When a government agent shoots and kills an unarmed woman holding a child, and the shooter is not prosecuted, the conspiracy theories really went wild.

Some of the theories going around said Waco and Ruby ridge were staged to see how the public would react to martial law.

All I know is that innocent people died, and nobody went to prison over it.

The coming civil unrest

For those of you that have not been paying attention and voting for the same two parties over and over, I blame you for what you are about to read. The two party system will be the downfall of the US, and I directly blame the voters.

My personal opinion, its just a matter of time before protest become violent.

I think there will be 2 driving factors, maybe 3 factors – Cost of living, Unemployment rates and maybe Inflation.

Cost of living – with free trade the US is having to compete against countries that allow their citizens to be exploited by large international companies. Why have a part built in the US, have to pay a liveable wage, pay taxes, pay benefits such as health insurance, sick days and vacation, when the company can move to communist china and get workers at almost slave labor wages. The higher the unemployment rate, the lower the wages, that is just the way things work.

As wages continue to stagnate, the cost of everything else continues to go up. Some refried beans my wife and I buy to make homemade burritos with went up 8 cents a couple of weeks ago. 8 cents might not seem like a lot, but when the can cost $1, that is an 8% increase. The average rate of inflation is around 3%. That means 8% is almost 3 times the rate of inflation.

The cost of basic items, such as food is going up at a steady rate. Ground meat – ground round is $2.25 a pound, ground lean is around $4 a pound. My wife fixed some homemade tacos a few days ago, and it cost us almost $10.

The 1990s from a survivalist point of view

boat angelina riverLooking back at the entire 1990s, I feel that my life was consumed with politics and conspiracy theories. We had the Persian Gulf conflict, NAFTA, GATT, Waco, Ruby Ridge, Assault Rifle Ban, European Union,,,, only to name a few. Those events helped fan the fires of conspiracy theories and helped people who spread doom and gloom for profit.

Late 1990s – Everything seemed to have started back around October 1990 when there was a UN and United States military response to Saddam Hussein invading Kuwait. Countries get invaded all the time, what made Kuwait so special – they had oil. This led to the theory that large oil companies controlled the US government – which I partially believe. When oil companies need to protect their investments, they call in the big guns, which is the US military.

Ruby Ridge in 1992 – innocent people were murdered by the government, and nobody was held responsible.

And it was not “just” Ruby Ridge, it was the U.S. Senate hearings that followed, the finger pointing, and the lack action on part of the government. The people that were supposed to protect the public from an out of control Government failed to do their job.

The mindset of radical survivalist

sea rim state parkThe 1970s and the 1980s were interesting times for survivalist. The threat of nuclear war with Russia was a clear and present danger. Russia was in Afghanistan getting its butt kicked by a bunch of nomads. Duck and cover public service announcements were broadcast on TV. Soldier of Fortune magazine and American Survival Guide was the reading material of the day. But it was in the 1990s and beyond when things really got “interesting.”

The 1980s
When I was in high school (1982 – 1986), the dad of one of my friends seemed a little “radical” to say the least. If not radical, maybe just very, very paranoid. This was before I had very much knowledge or experience in stuff like the New World Order (NWO) and conspiracy theories.

This happened about 23 years ago, but I am going to try and tell the story the best that my memory serves me.

The father of my buddy had busted holes in the walls of the house, then stuck a rifle into the hole. He said if the feds ever come to get him, he wanted a firearm within reach. So there was a gun in the wall of every room. Even while sitting on the toilet there was a firearm within reach.

The dad stayed armed just about all the time with a Colt 1911 45 ACP. There were a couple of times where the dad was seen in town with the pistol. One time he was at a local grocery store when a clerk saw the pistol in his pocket – the clerk called the police. When the police approached the man, the son asked the officer if they could talk in private. The son told the police that his dad was a little “off” – and he was. The police officer was nice enough not to arrest the man, but made him leave the store.

Then there was the stories of the FBI watching his house, bugging his telephone, following him,,,,,,.

My buddies dad ran a small home based business and repaired small engines, such as lawn mowers and boat motors. I think this had something to do with making below a certain amount so he did not have to pay income taxes.

The family lived a very frugal lifestyle, ate a lot of cheap food (such as peanut butter), wore clothes that had holes in them, did not go to town very often. If memory serves me right, most of their food was out of store bought cans. This was so when the power was cut off very little food would spoil. I remember the family eating a lot of peanut butter and honey.

One story the dad told me went something like this – years ago he was away from home working on a construction job. Instead of renting an apartment or hotel room, he slept under his car. There just happened to be a panther living in the area. So the dad started putting food out for that panther and slowly tamed it.

About 3 years ago – 2005, 2006 or 2007 – I saw the dad at a local grocery store. He looked kinda rough and gave the appearance of being homeless. His hair was in a tangled mess, his clothes were dirty looking and he had a strange, almost lost look in his eyes. He is not homeless as I know where he lives and I see his car parked there on a regular basis. I did not speak to him, maybe I should have, maybe I am glad I didn’t.

I just can not imagine being so paranoid, as to believe that the government is watching everything that I do. It seemed that my buddies dad was obsessed that the FBI (or someone else) was watching every move he made.
