Ramblings Of A Bored Survivalist

Random Thoughts February 27 2013

We have a lot to talk about. Rather then break these topics down into individual post, lets jut make another random thoughts post.

Colorado has gone off the deep end with gun control. This time they want to make make sellers of semiautomatic rifles responsible for the actions of the end users. It’s laughable what the gun hating liberals are trying to push through. Making gun sellers responsible, is like making Ford, Toyota or GM responsible for drunk drivers.Kevin Felts, blogger and survivalist

Feinstein’s ‘assault weapon’ ban goes to committee. When is the government going to address the real cause of gun violence? Our nation is being overran with debt, banks are getting a steady handout of $85 billion a month from the federal reserve, Iran is working its way to becoming a nuclear power,,, and Dianne Feinstein is worried about gun control? Holy crap, really?

A buddy of mine passed away, his memorial service is going to be March 2.

AR-15 prices are slowing coming down. Instead of a colt 6920 costing $3,000, prices are down to around $2,000. Other brand name ARs are floating around double their price before Sandy Hook.

Sanctions Against Iran China To The Rescue

Posted by Kevin Felts On February 2, 2013 0 Comments

Sanctions against Iran will not work. Obama has been saying “give sanctions a chance”, when we know for a fact sanctions will not and can not work.

Russia Today posted an article saying China is buying oil from Iran. With money flowing in from China, Iran is free to pursue its nuclear ambitions.

In another news article, Iran is moving to upgrade its centrifuges. Which means improved enrichment far above those needed for nuclear power reactors and medical devices.

Whether Iran plans on building a nuclear weapon remains to be seen.

In another article I talked about possible conflicts the US may be facing between 2013 and 2020. My personal opinion, the Wall Street and the international bankers need something big to prevent China from becoming a world economic power house. If the international bankers can not crash the economy of China, the only other option is a physical conflict.

China fueling Irans nuclear program is the excuse the US government needs to strike Iran and possibly spark a large scale war.

Time for another random thoughts post.

The Amazing Spider-man

Bought The Amazing Spider-man for the grandkids to watch. The grandkids are between the ages of 3 and 5 and were not interested in Spider-man. But they can watch The Avengers all day long.

Why did Sony have to go back to Spider-man having an artificial web?

I thought The Amazing Spider-man was a rather bland. I like how they got away from the Green Goblin and introduced The Lizard. The original Spider-man movies seem to stuck on the Green Goblin.

Wages Today

A few days ago I was thinking about how much money I was making in the welding shops. In 1987 the top pay of the welding shop I was working at was $11.13 an hour. Minimum wage was $3.35 an hour.

11.13 divided by 3.35 = 3.3223.

In other words, top pay in the welding shop was 3.3223 times minimum wage in 1987.

In 2004 I checked back at that same welding shop, top pay was only around $14 an hour, which was less then 3X minimum wage at the time of $5.15. In other words, wages have not kept up with inflation or minimum wage.

In 1990 I made around $35,000 with overtime. I thought that was pretty good for 22 years old. Minimum wage in 1990 was $3.80 an hour. Other words, I made 9,210 times minimum wage in a single year. But then again, I worked a lot of overtime to reach that $35,000 dollar mark.

To keep up with the standard of living I had in 1990, I would have to be making $66,772 a year. Take my word for it, I make a lot less then $66,772 a year.

How much money are you making today as compared to minimum wage? Have your wages kept up with inflation and minimum wage?

For those of you over 40 years old, how much where you making 20 years ago as compared to today?

Who will be our next enemy

As General Patton once said, “Americans love to fight.” So what happens when we run out of people to fight?

Since World War II we have been in some kind of conflict with “someone”.

1940s – Germany, Japan and the start of the cold war.

1950s – Korea, and the cold war.

1960s and early 1970s – Vietnam and the cold war.

1980s – cold war came to an end.

1990s – Bosnian War, Gulf War and various smaller conflicts.

2000s to present – war on terror.

2012 and beyond – we are running out of terrorist to kill. The American people are putting the 9/11 attacks behind us, people are getting bored of drone strikes, Bin Laden is dead,,, now what?

Example from the Walking Dead

For you Walking Dead fans out there, do remember when Shane died at the end of Season 2? Do you know “why” Shane had to die?

Ahmadinejad full 2012 UN speech

Thank you Russia Today for uploading this video to youtube.

As usual,Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is spewing forth all kinds of gibberish.

I agree with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on bin laden; bin laden should have been brought to trial instead of killing him.

Everyday Iran continues its nuclear program, its a step closer to another war in the middle east.

Will Netanyahu bring about the destruction of Israel

Posted by Kevin Felts On September 20, 2012 0 Comments

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few years, it should be pretty clear that tensions between Israel and Iran are going to reach a boiling point.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called for the destruction of Israel, while at the same time working on Irans nuclear program. This should be pretty simple, hatred + means = war.

On the flip side of the coin, we have Benjamin Netanyahu calling for a military strike on Iran. The strike would have the purpose of either destroying Irans nuclear capability, or setting progress back a few years.

In other words, we have two nations that want to destroy each other.

Israel says it only wants to destroy Irans nuclear program. Regardless of the reason for an attack, an attack is still an attack.

Israel trying to draw a line with Iran

Posted by Kevin Felts On September 11, 2012 0 Comments

Netanyahu seems to be getting a little desperate in his attempts to attack Iran, in that he wants to draw a line in the sand. If Iran crosses that line, then the world (mainly the USA) would take military action against Iran.

Sure is funny how Netanyahu wants to go to war, when the majority of people fighting will be Americans.

If Israel is so worried about Iran, why dont Israel do something about Iran and leave the rest of the world out of this?

The growing Iran problem

Posted by Kevin Felts On August 20, 2012 0 Comments

Sooner or later something will have to give. If something does happen, it better happen sooner then later.

What happens when a rogue nation positions itself where an attack would be counter-productive.

Sanctions are not going to work. But things are going to reach a head where “something” has to be done. Israel does not have the ability to sustain an extended war with iran.

Now that the muslim brotherhood has taken power in egypt, any attack on iran by israel might cause egypt to attack israel.

The Obama Iran and Islam issue

Posted by Kevin Felts On August 10, 2012 2 Comments

Over the past few years there have been hundreds of news articles talking about iran developing nuclear weapons.

The question I have, why hasn’t obama done something about iran?

There has been news article after news article saying the sanctions are not working. Iran continues to develop its nuclear program, and nothing is being done about it.

The answer I have arrived at, obama does not want to harm the muslim community because of obamas ties to islam.

The next question I have is, how long will obama let iran work in its nuclear program?

The answer I have come up with, obama has no intentions of doing anything about iran.

Worried about a war with Iran

Posted by Kevin Felts On July 12, 2012 0 Comments

Guys and gals, I am worried about the U.S. attacking Iran, and then the crap hitting the fan.

Let me rephrase that, I am worried about how Russia and china will react if Iran is attacked.

* During this article china will not be capitalized. As I have no respect for a communist government that oppresses its people.

Russia nor china want permanent U.S. bases in the middle east. An attack on Iran might be viewed as imperialism on part of the U.S. Meaning, we are encroaching closer and closer to Russia and china.

As Russia and china are backed into a corner, sooner or later something will have to give. If something gives, how well is the U.S. and the general public prepared for an all out war with a major world power?

Are the people ready to be rationed food?
Are the people ready to be rationed fuel?
Are the people ready to have their lives disrupted?
Can the U.S. afford another war?

As nations start to compete for resources, Iran is a gold mine.

Step 1 – demonize Iran so that the U.S. public think they have no other choice then to go to war. Its either go to war, or allow Iran to go nuclear.

Step 2 – invade Iran, enter into another decade long war in the middle east.

With the U.S. pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan, we need a way to replace the military bases we are losing. How are we going to replace those military bases? By invading Iran.

Is obama going to start a war with Iran

Posted by Kevin Felts On February 5, 2012 4 Comments

My opinion, two things that can save the election for obama:

1 – create a threat to the US so severe that it can not be ignored.

2 – eliminate the threat.

The threat I see obama creating is a nuclear Iran. Not that Iran is “really” developing nuclear weapons, its that obama might tell the US that Iran has nuclear weapons as part of a propaganda program.

What would war with Iran mean

Posted by Kevin Felts On February 3, 2012 Comments Off

I feel that Iran has positioned itself to be made a victim. Iran is supposed to be developing nuclear power plants for peaceful purposes.

Why would Iran make itself out to be a victim? To rally support, and have other nations come to its aid. Playing the victim is one of the first steps of jihad.

What I fear, if any nation strikes iran, china will jump in to protect its supply of oil.
