Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Is The Result of a Root Problem

Kevin Felts political commentator

Regardless if someone agrees or disagrees with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, her election was the result of an unresolved issue: That issue is healthcare. Regardless of the other platforms she ran on, chances are she was elected because of her stance on Medicare for all.

So far neither party has offered a realistic solution to the healthcare problem. The Affordable Care Act forced people to buy a product, which is not a long term solution. The simple truth is, the government can not afford to subsidize out of control healthcare costs.

To fix the healthcare problem we have to take it down to the root problem: There are not enough doctors. This is simple supply and demand. The fewer doctors we have, the higher the cost. If medical schools were to open the flood gates and make more doctors, prices would go down. As it stands, most of rural America has to drive 100+ miles to find a specialist in certain fields.

What to Expect in the 2018 Midterm Elections

Kevin Felts political commentator

What can we expect to see in the 2018 midterm elections? Chances are democrats will be handed a stunning defeat in the 2018 midterm elections. Why? Because democrats have no platform.

Rather than addressing the economy and healthcare reform, democrats are focused solely on assassinating Trumps character.

Democrats have a chance to work with a president who wants to do what is best for the United States. He wants to address real health care reform. What are democrats doing? They are fighting him tooth and nail.

If a democrat president wanted to change the Affordable Health Care Act, democrats would be all for it. However, when a Republican wants to address healthcare, Democrats fight with everything they have.

President Trump has tried to work with democrats on various issues, and the democrats have refused. Bring the nation to a grinding halt is not going to help them in the 2018 midterm elections.

States Going Broke

Health care

Middle aged man, friend of my family, in his late 40s, let go from his job a few weeks ago, no health insurance, has been suffering from mood swings and headaches for several months. The man has also been forgetting stuff lately.

Family thought it might just be a mid-life crisis that a lot of people experience.

Last night the man started running a high fever. Wife took him to local small town emergency room where an x-ray of his head was done.

x-ray showed a baseball sized tumor in the brain.

Small town hospital shipped him to larger town for cat-scan and mri. Scans showed the cancer has spread into the sinus area.

As of this morning, he is in Houston.

Cost of health care pisses me off

survivalistWhy do I have a copay when I pay for health coverage, but the welfare leeches get their healthcare for free?

My wife needs a surgery, so far we are out close to $2,000 just for copays and deductible. What the hell is going on with this nation? Medicare / Medicaid is taken out of my paycheck, but I can not use it? Not only do I have to pay into the medicare/medicaid system, but I also have to pay for my families health care, plus deductibles.

The welfare parasites can sit on their ass at home, never have to look for a job, get free medical coverage, free dental, free vision,,,, all at the tax payers expense.

It pisses me off that I have to pay my insurance + a copay, while people on the medicare system do not have to pay anything, or have to pay very little.

I am not not saying that “everyone” on medicare does not deserve it.

I “am” saying there is a lot of abuse of the system.

Welfare is supposed to be a support system, and not a way of life. The problem is, too many people have made welfare a way of life.

My wife and I know a young lady that is around 18 or 19 years old. A few months ago she squeezed out the families third generation of welfare recipients. Someone explain to my how that is “supposed” to work out? How does society tolerate generations of people to live on welfare?
