Please stop the open carry movement

Rate This Article

Guys and gals, please stop with the open carry movement.  You are not doing anything but scaring people.  Law enforcement is called to check yall out, tensions get high, it is just a matter of time before someone gets shot.

Leave your long gun at home where they belong.

The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.  I understand that, trust me I understand.  Nobody is infringing on your right to bear arms.  There is a time and place for everything.  Carrying a rifle or shotgun into a store is not the time or place.

Every able-bodied male

The 2nd Amendment serves two purposes, protect the nation in times of war and to help with localized civil unrest.

Yes I know about watering the tree of liberty from time to time.  That is why we vote.  We water the tree of liberty with tears of defeat and not blood.

There is no reason to carry a rifle into a coffee shop.

There is no reason to carry a rifle into a shopping mall.

There is no reason to carry a rifle into a retail store.

There is no civil unrest.

There is no war on our streets.

If you want to shoot something, join the military.

Now for the love of GOD, please stop scaring people.

Dianne Feinstein Obama And Gun Control

Rate This Article

There has been a lot of talk from Dianne Feinstein and obama about gun control. My honest opinion on the matter, neither of them want the laws they are suggesting.

The only reason Dianne Feinstein and obama are talking about gun control, is to make the liberals happy, and to say they did “something” after the Aurora Colorado and Sandy Hook shootings.Kevin Felts, blogger and survivalist

Why would Dianne Feinstein and Obama be faking the call for gun control?
Because the proposed laws are too radical.

Proposed Gun Tax

Poll taxes were struck down. The government can not charge a fee or tax on a right. There is no fee to go to church, there is no fee or tax to vote, there is no special government fee or tax to read a newspaper or watch the evening news.

The gun control act of 1934 set reasonable limits on the ownership of fully automatic weapons. People can still own fully automatic weapons, but thy have to jump through hoops to do so.

Dianne Feinsteins proposal to pay a tax on a right will not stand up in court, and she knows it. But to make the liberal left happy, she has to introduce “something” in the wake of Sandy Hook. This is why Dianne Feinstein keeps getting relected, because she appeals to liberals.

Wake Up Call For Survivalist

Shooting AK-47 with ERGO Grip SUREGRIPAs liberals and gun haters dance in the blood of children in their call for new gun laws, survivalist need to wake up. SHTF comes in a wide range of disasters. Sometimes its hurricanes, earthquakes or other natural disasters, sometimes its losing a job or financial collapse,,,.

In the case of December 2012, it was a crazy kid with a gun that gave liberals and gun haters the needed fuel to call for more gun laws.

Over the course of a few days gun stores were stripped of every AR-15 they had, and all of the ammunition they had in stock.

The following days people became desperate to get their hands on an AR-15, magazines and ammunition.

Some examples include:

Colt 6920 for $4,000

BGS the key to long term survival

Rate This Article

Kevin Felts, blogger and survivalistBeans, Guns and Seeds – the three things that are key to surviving a long term SHTF situation. Water should be a given, there there is no real need in discussing that. If someone needs to be reminded that they need safe drinking water, then natural selection needs to take effect.

Why do I put Beans, Guns and Seeds in that order? Why not have it GSB, or BSG,,, or some other combination?

Beans – your food stockpile

Guns – security

Seeds – renewable and sustainable food sources

A few weeks ago a buddy of mine and I were talking about food during a long term SHTF event. Most survivalist have some kind of food stockpile. But once those food stores run out, what then?

Group 1 – Bug out to the wilderness to live off the land.

Group 2 – Have some kind of homestead setup with a garden, livestock, fruit trees,,, renewable and sustainable food sources.

Chances are group 1 is going to develop dysentery, and either starve to death, or die from some kind of infection.

Group 2 will have shelter, fresh food, safe drinking water, security, private property,,,.

Ask yourself, if society as we know it right now, where would you rather be, camping in the wilderness, or safe at home in your bed.

Some examples of my BGS theory:

Beans Category

Freeze dried foods
Canned foods
Food stored in mylar bags

Guns

AK-47
AK-74
Mini-14
AR-15
FN/FAL
PTR-91
M1A
Remington model 700
Ruger 10/22

Seeds

Black eyed peas
Corn
Onions
Pinto beans
Squash
Snap beans
Spinach
Zucchini

Is the SKS still a viable survival rifle

Hunting whitetail deer after shtfWith SKS prices creeping close to the $300 price range, why are they considered a viable option for survivalist,,, or even anyone else? Back in the 1990s when you could pick up an SKS for less then $100, yea, I could see buying one then. But over the past 2 decades prices have steadily gone up, I think to the point where they are not worth the price.

Lets take the Remington model 770 – synthetic stock, factory scope, popular calibers that are more effective on deer sized game then the 7.62X39,,,, and the 770 cost right at the $300 price range.

Last year my nephew used his Remington 770 to take a doe during youth weekend. At around 50 – 75 yards, the 150 grain Remington core-lokt was devastating to the whitetail. The blood trail looked like someone turned on a waterhose.

I can see buying an SKS for its novelty, and for its history, but not for its price. The SKS is not going to be a target rifle like a modern bolt action rifle and the 7.62×39 is not as effective on deer sized game as lets say a 270 or 308.
