2014 midterm elections

It is all over but the crying.  Democrats lost, Republicans won.

What amazes me is the total deflection by the Democrats.  As far as some of the Democrats are concerned, they lost because of some made up reason.  According to an article on HotAir, Obama blames his own party for their losses.  According to the article Democrats were fighting an uphill battle to start with.

Yes democrats were fighting an uphill battle, because of all the lying obama has done.  Where the help for college students?  Where is our health care that cost as much as a cell phone bill?  Where are the jobs?  Where is all the stuff we were promised?  They were lies, all lies.

The leader of the Democratic party is not even willing to take partial responsibility for the election results.  Maybe, just maybe, people walking out on obama should have tipped him off on how the election was going to end up.

Your own party members and your voters do not want to associate with you.  Then you blame your own party for losing the election?  Wow, just wow.

Can The Republicans Win In 2016

Rate This Article

Lets be honest, the democratic party played their cards rather well. The party rallied enough special interest groups to get obama elected the first time, and then reelected.

Will the Republicans be able to win in 2016 or 2020? Until there is a change of leadership in the Republican party, I think they have no chance of winning the white house in the near future.

There are too many special interest groups who vote their interest, rather then voting for the best interest of the nation. The democratic party has appealed to those groups to win their vote.Kevin Felts, blogger and survivalist

If we had a candidate that said he was going to end free trade and put people back to work, the career welfare group would be scared to death. There is no way people drawing welfare are going to vote to end those benefits.

The same thing goes for illegal immigration, gays,,,, and all other special interest groups who have formed voting blocs.

The republicans stance on protecting the rich from higher taxes have alienated the middle class.

The republicans stance on immigration, abortion and gay rights have alienated the party from those voting blocs.

The republican party has become the party of old rich white men. Its just a matter of time before they die and are replaced.

In all honesty, regardless of which of the two major parties are in power, things will not change. If we want to change the nation, we have to change the way we vote.

Is there “really” that much of a difference between what bush did while president and what obama has done? At least bush did not go around killing US citizens with drone attacks.

Bush may have signed the patriot act, but obama signed the NDAA.

On the topic of illegal immigration, republicans saw illegal workers as low wage slaves. Over the past 30 years those low wage slaves had children in the US, and have formed voting blocs. And now, that Hispanic voting bloc has helped kick the republicans out of office.

The greed of the republicans will be their downfall.

Why did Romney lose

Rate This Article

Here we are post-election scratching our heads and wondering what went wrong. Did obama win, or did romney lose? Obama won the election, but did romney help obama win the election?

The truth is, he should have never made it past the primaries. When the republican party elected romney as their candidate, the election was lost.

The more people learned about romney, the less they liked him.

Romney has too much baggage.

1 – The way romney made his money. There is nothing wrong with making money, it was “how” romney made his money that working class people disagree with.

Romney did not create anything. His investment firms bought, striped and then resold. That is not what made America great.

You not know what made America great? We built stuff. People like Henry Ford, people that created a product that people wanted.

What jobs did romney create, what factories did he have built? All I heard about was him and his investment firms sending jobs to china.

2 – Taxes. Working class people pay their fair share of taxes, and we expect our leaders to pay their fair share of taxes as well.

Exploiting tax loopholes with offshore banking accounts is not cool. That kind of behavior looks like romney was trying to hide something.

Why didn’t romney release his tax history? Was he trying to hide something?

3 – NRA rating / gun control. Romney does not have a clear record on gun regulation. In 2004 romney signed an assault-weapons ban.

Then he turns around and says he supports the right to own firearms.

This back-and-forth behavior does not go over well with gun owners. You can not sign an assault rifle ban, then turn around and say you support gun ownership.

If you want to win over gun owners, you have to make your stance very clear.

4 – No new ideas. What new ideas did romney bring to the table? Repeal the income tax? Stop free trade? Bring our factories back from china?

How was romney any different then obama, the bushs or clinton?

The working class knows how to fix the nation, and that is to stop free trade and bring our factories back from china.  But none of the people running for office will tell the people what they want to hear.

Calm before the panic buying

Calm before the SHTF panic stormThere is enough fear mongering these days without my help.  With that in mind, please remember that this article is just my personal opinion and it not meant to interpreted as fact.

I feel that we are in a calm before the storm. Not necessarily a SHTF storm, but a panic buying storm.

From August 2011 until the first part of 2012:

August and September:  Kids are starting back to school in the next few days, parents are having to buy back to school supplies, clothes, meet the teachers and get their kids shots caught up. Right “now” parents have a lot to think about and worry about besides prepping.

Labor day: is right around the corner.

October:  Halloween in October.

October and November: Hunting season starts.

November – thanksgiving.

December – Christmas and then New Years.

People have stuff to keep their minds occupied until the first part of 2012. After the turn of the year, I look for people attention to turn towards world events and the direction this nation is going.

After new years I think is when the panic buying mode is going to kick in – and especially after people start getting their income taxes back.

2012 – As 2012 progresses and the election season turns hostile, there is going to be a lot of propaganda on TV and the internet about the various people running for office. I look for this propaganda to have a side effect on the voters, and that is spreading fear through the general public.

I look for the debt talks to resume again, and I look for tension between the USA and the rest of the world (especially China) to increase.

Around April and May 2012 – is when I look for the panic buying to pick up, especially with the poor and low middle classes.  This is when people will start getting their income tax returns.  Instead of buying TVs, and other toys, people might turn to buying firearms, ammo and food.

Over the next few months (August – December 2011) people are going to be forking out money on school supplies, clothes, labor day, holidays, Christmas, new years,,,,,,,.   This is why I look for the “real” panic buying to kick in after people start getting their income taxes back in early – mid 2012.  Having to buy school supplies and getting ready for the holidays does not leave a lot of money for prepping.

My personal plan, and I am not suggesting that people do this, but buy whatever long term food supplies you can afford. If you have been thinking about buying #10 cans of freeze dried foods, please do so.

One of the issues with buying SHTF survival gear, it leaves less money for other stuff. Do not overspend on preps. Whenever possible, put money into a rainy day fund. If the federal government shuts the banks down, you want enough cash on hand for food and fuel.

When people start getting their income tax returns back, and have some extra money, that is when people might start buying in bulk.

Over the past few months I have been stockpiling fishing supplies like crazy. Everytime my wife and I went to the local sporting goods store I would grab some hooks, trotline string, artificial worms, extra monofilament line, new fishing pole and reel,,,,,.

On top of the fishing supplies I have been stocking up on food in mylar bags, canned goods and #10 cans.

Do I expect some kind of civil unrest, no,, or rather I hope not. With the extreme drought in Texas, crops are dying in the fields, and people are having to sell off their livestock, what kind of impact on food prices can we expect due to the failed crops, I do not know.

I want to be as honest as possible, and say right up front, I do not know what the future holds. I suspect food prices will go up, but only time will tell.

Over the next few months my preps will focus on food – and that means everything from mylar bags, to canned goods, to #10 cans of freeze dried foods.

In Short:
Save as money as possible
Buy as much food as your family can afford
Get caught up on your bills
Do not have any outstanding credit card bills
Do not have any high interest loans
Secure your possessions and your property
Communicate with your family about your plans

How many times do people have to vote for the two major parties before they realize there is no difference?

It took both parties to pass the North American Free Trade Agreement – NAFTA

It took both parties to pass the banking bailout scam.

It took both parties to pass the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade – GATT.

It is taking both parties to continue this war in Iraq.

It took both parties to establish the income tax.

It took both parties to send millions of our jobs to China, Taiwan and India.

It has taken both parties to increase our taxes to where they are today.

Do you realize that the average American spends about 1/2 of their income on taxes?
1. Social Security
2. Medicare / Mediciad
3. Income Tax – both at the state and federal levels
4. Property Tax
5. Sales Tax
6. Fuel Tax on Gasoline
7. FCC charges on your cable TV bill
8. FCC charges on your phone bill

And this is only part of the list.
