Good Times Created A Weak Generation

Kevin Felts political commentator

Compared to the Boomers, the children of Boomers (Generation X) are weak. Not just weak physically, but also weak emotionally.

Millennials are weaker than Gen. X and boomers. Watching Antifa protest President Trump and conservatives as being Fascist is rather sad. When questioned, a lot of the kids can not provide an exact answer to questions about president Trump. From the looks of them, most of the Millennials have never held a manual labor job. They have never built anything, never welded anything, never worked 80 hours a week doing a manual labor job. But, they can find the time to protest against something they do not understand?

Where has society failed Millennials? For example, recent polls show Millennials favor Communism and Socialism over Capitalism. Yet they protest so called Fascist? This shows the level of their intelligence. Communism, Socialism and Fascism are all first cousins.

Millennials Favor Communism and Socialism

Kevin Felts blogger and political commentator

Millennials are disillusioned with capitalism are are turning to communism and socialism.

Can we honestly blame them? Standard of living in the United States has been stagnated since the 1970s, bleak job prospects, oppressive student debt, and the “follow your dreams” ideology turned out to be a lie.

In other words, everything built by a capitalist society has left millennials with little hope.

Little hope of owning a home.
No hope of being financially independent.
Little hope of living the American dream.
No hope of being able to afford to have a family.

Millennials have rejected an economic system that exploits workers. Why would someone want to dedicate themselves to a line of work that would keep them in borderline poverty? That is one reason why I left the welding shops of southeast Texas. Who in their right state of mind wants to dedicate decades of their life to working, and have nothing to show for it? Thus is the end result of capitalism.

Diversity is Strangling The United States

Kevin Felts on a hiking trip

Diversity is a good thing, until it comes to politics. Ever since Republicans took control of both houses and the Presidency in the 2016 elections, congress has been unable to pass any meaningful legislation.

Affordable Care Act – not fixed.
GOP has not passed any laws easing firearm restrictions.
Tax reform has stalled, which is an excellent example of opposing sides strangling the nation.

President Trump wants a tax reform bill that would cut certain write-offs. One of those write-offs is being able to write the interest paid on your home mortgage off income taxes. California and New York oppose the bill. Without the support of Representatives from from New York and California, it is unlikely the bill will pass. So, the rest of the nation is held hostage because high income states enjoy certain tax write-offs?

Parents of daughters likely to vote republican

There is an article on yahoo shine about why parents of daughters are more likely to vote Republican than to vote democrat.

While the article is “kind of” insightful, I think it misses the mark. Rather than focusing on core Republican values, the article goes off into left field talking about sex.

Sex is a small part of the issue. The larger issue at hand is this thing called “responsibility.”

The article states,

Parents of daughters, it seems, have an interest in reducing male promiscuity.

Personally, I think male promiscuity has little to do with the issue. The larger issue here is taking responsibility for your actions.

A Nation Greatly Divided by Differences

Kevin Felts political commentator

There is an interesting article in the LA Times – Mitt Romney leads a party packed with paranoids and fabulists. The word fabulists simply means liars. In other words, the republican party is filled with paranoid liars.

The cartoon shows an older couple compared to a younger couple. With the younger couple wearing an obama pin.

A few days ago there was a news program talking about how the younger generations are growing more liberal, while the older conservatives are fading away. For example, for the first time in history, less then 50% of the voters say they are Protestant Christians.

Not only is the nation divided by political parties, we are also divided by liberalism and conservatism, and we are divided by religion, or rather the lack of religion.

Where is this trend of a growing liberal population going to take the United States? It is going to financially bankrupt the US.
