Support for gun control fading

Good news ladies and gentlemen.  The Independent Journal Review posted an article detailing how Americans are Getting Tired of Gun Control Pushes.

Support for more gun control is waning across all political parties, including liberals and democrats.  This should be common sense, gun control does not reduce violent crime. Criminals do not care about laws. Society should take the people who mental problems and ensure they receive help.

Democrats (from 79% to 71%)
Liberals (from 75% to 67%)
Women (from 69% 55%)
Republicans (from 39% to 29%)

If democrats and liberals want to reduce violent crime:

1. Open community colleges in low income housing areas. Make attendance mandatory for anyone living in public housing. Provide people on welfare with a clear path out of poverty.  Democrats however would rather keep people in poverty than provide them with a path out of poverty.  As long as people are poor and dependent on the government, they will continue to vote democrat.

When people lose hope of bettering themselves, they figure they have nothing to lose.  So what if they go out in a rain of gunfire, at least they get their name in the news.

We have to break the cycle of families spending generations in the welfare line.

2. Make mental health services free to the public, regardless of income levels. We as a society need to remove the stigma from mental health. If someone has a problem, society as a whole needs to address said problem.

In a capitalist society we are taught we either sink or swim.  You either work and provide for yourself, or you sink into poverty.

Mental illness and poverty are like oil and water, they do not go well with each other.  Those who need the help the most are unable to afford it.

3. End school bullying. Establish a national awareness program to end bullying.

The path is clear, we either address mental health and poverty, or we continue to deal with shootings like Sandy hook and Aurora Colorado.

The war on guns is pretty much over, except the crying that is.

Judge Lisa Millard sentenced Clifford Hall 6 months in in jail for a crime he did not commit.

It seems that his child support payments were modified without his knowledge, which violates the due process clause of the U.S. constitution. The Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees that the government can not take a persons property or liberty without a chance to present their own evidence in a court of law.

Judge Lisa Millard should be removed from office and prohibited from every holding a public office, or any office that has authority over the people. Judge Lisa Millard along with the Harris county child support office is a perfect example of how dads are being driven into child support induced poverty.

Now that Clifford Hall is in jail how is he supposed to pay his child support?  Rather that being current on his child support, he is going to leave jail 6 months in the rear and with no job.  How is that justice?

Child support is not about taking care of the child. The current system is designed to do one thing, that is to punish the non-custodial parent, which is usually the father. Judge Lisa Millard and her decision to throw Clifford Hall in jail for 6 month is a perfect example of a system that is out of control.

The child support system in Texas needs to be reformed.  The first step to reigning in an out of control system is to remove judges like Lisa Millard from office.  Once removed from office make her an example by prohibiting her from practicing law in Texas, and prohibit her from holding any public office.  Her sentence of Clifford Hall is nothing more than abuse of power.

How is being current on your child support a crime?  It is not.

Chances are the only reason why Clifford Hall is in jail is because he is black.  I hate to say that, but it is my honest opinion.  It is strange how a white woman throws a black man in jail for paying his child support.

For as long as humanity has existed there has been slavery, upper and lower class, kings, peasants, racism and hatred for one class or another. Everywhere humanity goes we spread inequality like a disease.

The Romans denied the Northern tribes equal protection, and it contributed to the downfall of Rome.

Southern slave owners helped tear this nation apart with a civil war.

The civil rights movement of the 1960s turned violent.

Now gays are the primary focus for civil rights.

This time period we live in has been a turning point for humanity.

What is sad, really sad, is that we as civilized human beings have to go through this long drawn-out legal process. We are paying for the sins of our fathers. Sins that should never have happened.  Our forefathers should have never allowed laws filled with bigotry and discrimination to ever be passed.  We are fixing hundreds of years of backwards thinking.  This generation is fixing hundreds of years of bigotry and racism.  Bigotry and racism that should have never happened.

The founders of this nation fled oppression. What did they do in the new land? They established the very oppression they wished to flee from, but just a different form of it. But rather than establishing a king and queen, white men were set as the superior race.

White men controlled the government, white men controlled the trade, white men controlled the money, white men brought black slaves from Africa in chains.  It is the rich whitemans that this nation is in the shape it is.

A nation that was founded on slavery, but boasted justice and freedom for all will finally see the dream come true.

The Declaration of Independence states, “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

How can we say all men have unalienable rights, but pick and choose who is deserving of those rights? We, as a civilized nation should demand better for our brothers and sisters. Who am I to say that a black man, black woman, gay man or gay woman are any less deserving of their rights than I am?

The goal that we as a society must work for is equality for everyone. Rights must apply equally, or not at all.

Beaumont Texas man arrested for carrying rifle

KBMT news is reporting Beaumont police arrested a man for lawfully carrying a rifle. The incident happening in Parkdale Mall in Beaumont Texas.  It is reported that he has a store in the mall where he sells firearm accessories, but no actual firearms are sold there.  He was allowed to have the rifle at the store for demonstration purposes.  While walking to the store, with the AR-15 slung over his back, several people called the police.  The police responded and arrested the man.

I never thought I would see the day when a police force in southeast Texas did not support gun rights.  The article says the man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Chances are the guy will be charged under Section 42.01 of the Texas Penal Code, which states,

Sec. 42.01. DISORDERLY CONDUCT. (8) displays a firearm or other deadly weapon in a public place in a manner calculated to alarm;

Treat Firearms Like Other Rights

The Communist Senator Dianne Feinstein is purposing all firearms be registered, and all gun owners go through a background check for said guns.

The answer is NO, I will not register my guns.

Just as reading a bible is a right, and going to church, writing a book, reading a newspaper, voting, right to due process under the law, right to trial by jury, right to legal council, right to a speedy trial,, are all rights, and so is gun ownership.

Gun ownership is a right, and will treated no differently then any other right.

When I have to register my bible, I will register my guns.

When I have to register my blog, I will register my guns.

When I have to have a permit to read a newspaper, I will register my guns.

When I have to have a permit to read a news website, I will register my guns.

The rights of the people are upheld by three courses of action – right to vote, the courts and the right to keep and bear arms. All three of which do not require a permit, nor do we have to register. Well, we have to register to vote, but that is to make sure people do not vote more then once.

Free speech and freedom of religion

Over the past few days there has been a lot of talk on the internet about freedom of speech, and how that speech might anger certain religious groups.

If you are offended by what someone says about your religion, too bad.  Being offended does not grant you special rights.  Being offended does not grant you the right to restrict the rights of others.

UNITED NATIONS – United Nations Secretary – General Ban Ki-moon told reporters in New York today that “free speech” has limits, especially when religious beliefs are involved.

“All of this freedom of expression should not be abused by individuals. … Some people abuse this freedom. This effort to provoke, to humiliate others by using (religious) beliefs cannot be protected in such a way.”

I am going to guess that United Nations Secretary – General Ban Ki-moon was referring to the movie “Innocence of the Muslims” and the cartoons published by a French newspaper.

What about the Jews and Muslims that offend other religions? I guess the Jews and Muslims get a free pass? As long as its Christians being insulted, then nobody cares? When Muslims kill Christians, or when Muslims burn a church, then that is ok?

Foxnews has a news article about a man who renounced Islam and became a Christian.  The man was arrested and sentenced to death.

Obama Congress and the NDAA

Until the people change the way they vote, we will never have real change in government. An example of this is the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Part of the NDAA allows the government to detain US citizens with no access to due process.

In other words, the government can declare someone a terrorist, that someone could then be detained forever.

Why would a government that was supposed to be founded individual freedom wish to detain people without due process?

This case will go all the way to the supreme court. I am willing to bet the supreme court rules the government can detain people that are deemed a national security risk.

The supreme court allows the government to play its “national security” trump card from time to time. All the government has to do is say the information is part of national security.

What a lot of people do not understand is the government had the right to detain members of the general public under Executive Order 9066 signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 19, 1942. The United States Supreme Court upheld Executive Order 9066.

Instead of using an Executive Order to detain people, the government now has the full authority of a law passed by congress and signed by the president.

What happened to the United States? Instead of being the land of the free, with liberty and justice for all, we are the land of cash cows with liberty and freedom for the rich. If you dare speak an opposing opinion, you are branded and outcast. If you speak out against the U.S. government, and travel to another country, the president sends a drone to kill you and whoever is with you.

Banks and wall street immune the law

One thing that really irritates me is hoe big banks and wall street can run over the people, and nothing is ever done.

Leading up to the 2008 housing crash, banks made loans to people who were not qualified to receive loans. The loans were then sold to investors. Wouldn’t that be considered fraud if anyone besides a bank did it?

Bank gets in trouble, the government rushes to shore it up.

People get in trouble, that is just too bad.

Since when did the government start bowing down to special interest groups, such as the banks and wall street?

Chick-fil-A and the right to speak out

This Chick-fil-A issue and gay rights is getting really out of hand. If someone says they support gay rights, then someone else should have the right to say they do not support gay rights.

If some faggot wants to get his poo packed every night, I could not care less. I am kinda neutral on the issue. As long as the sex is between consenting adults, I do not care what happens in a bedroom. Just because I do not care does not mean I have to support the idea either.

Boycotting a company because they do not support gay rights is like the pot calling the kettle black. There are going to be issues all through life we agree with, neutral on, or disagree with.  So what if a company does not support gays rights?  So what?  It is their right to voice their opinion.

While I am not agree with Chick-fil-As stance, I do however disagree with the flack Chick-fil-A has been treated.  Why cant people speak up and voice their opinion?  So what if Chick-fil-As opinion differs from people who support gay rights?  Whats next, try to bully Chick-fil-A into changing their opinion?

New Debates on Gun Control

The shootings in Aurora Colorado has brought the liberals out in force. As the liberal crap storm for more gun control whips into a feeding frenzy, I see a common pattern, and that is the spread of incorrect information.

One opinion said the AR was designed for killing at close range. In the military trials, bullet performance was judged at 200 meters. How is 200 meters close range?

Another opinion piece said high capacity magazines have no place in hunting. I don’t guess the author has ever seen the videos of people hunting wild hogs from helicopters. I don’t guess the author saw pictures of the LA riots where store owners were protecting their property with semi-auto rifles and high capacity magazines.

Here are the facts people:

Gun control does not stop gun violence. Criminals do not care about laws. If criminals cared about laws, there would be no criminals. So how does gun control stop criminals?

Liberals argue that the background check stops criminals from buying guys. If a criminal wants a gun, he will go steal one.

Liberals argue only the police and military should have firearms. And what, turn the U.S. into a police state? Our forefathers wanted to ensure the people have the ability and the right to rise up against the government. If the U.S. government becomes oppressive to the people, the people have the ability to fight back. When a protestor shows up with an AK47, I bet the police will be a a lot less likely to take measures against the crowd.

Liberals argue high capacity magazines have no place in hunting. They are probably right. However, the 2nd Amendment is not about hunting, its about protecting the people from an oppressive government.

Re election of obama built on lies and deceit

Angelina river Jasper TexasThe rumor mill says that the assassination (or murder) of Anwar al-Awlaki is going to boost the chances that obama will get elected.

Its a sad day for the USA when an elected official can murder US citizens without due process, and that official stands a good chance of getting re-elected. Anyone who applauds the murder of a citizen with no due process, has no place serving in public office.

This supposed “war on terror” that the US is “supposed” to be in, is no longer a war on terror, its a war on anyone that disagrees with US foreign policy.

The only reason why George Washington is not recorded in history as a terrorist, is because the British lost. If the red coats would have won the revolutionary war, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson,,,, everyone else that fought for freedom would have been labeled a traitor and put to death. 200+ years later, we might have even considered the founding fathers terrorist.
