Maxpedition
My first exposure to Maxpedition came in April of 2009 with a Proteus Versipack. From there, my collection has grown to include the Noatak, Condor-II, Vulture-II, Kodiak Gearslinger, and Falcon-II Pygmy.
Regardless of which pack it is, I’am always impressed with the design, quality of workmanship and quality of the materials used in production.
The Maxpedition Proteus Versipack:
* Main: 9″ x 6″ x 3″
* Frontal: 8″ x 5″ x 1.5″
* Side: 6″ x 3″ x 1.75″
* Belt: Integral Waist Belt at 49″ max.

The Maxpedition Falcon-II Pygmy:
* Dimension: 18″(H) x 9.5″(W) x 5.5″(D) Main Compartment
* 12″(H) x 7.5″(W) x 2.75″(D) Front Pouch
* 12″(H) x 7.5″(W) Slip Pocket
* Capacity: 1400 cu. in. / 23 liters
* Hydration: Two side pouches for 1L Nalgene
* Support: 1in Adjustable Sternum Strap
* Optional Accessories: Grimloc Carabiner
* Empty Weight: 36.9 oz.
It might be worth noting that the Maxpedition Falcon-II Pygmy has turned into one of my favorite daypacks. Being able to carry 2 – 32 ounce water bottles is a nice feature. The small outside pouches are just big enough to hold GPS, TOPO map, compass, multi-tool,,, and a few other odds and ends.

*Front Pouch: 15.5″(H) x 12″(W) x 2.75″(D)

Have you ever picked up a pack and said “I like this pack”? Well, that is what I did with the Maxpedition Vulture-II. Its big enough to carry enough gear for a full day hike, or an overnight trip. Its got plenty of webbing attachments to more pouches, a place for a water bladder, and the shoulder straps have plenty of padding.
