The Handcuffed United States of America

Welcome to the Handcuffed United States of America, where law enforcement is held hostage by illegal immigrants, and the US government can kill its citizens without due process. The Washington Times is reporting that a U.S. border agent has been jailed for improper arrest of a suspected drug smuggler. What the hell is wrong with…

Is free enterprise a good thing

Is free enterprise a good thing, or does it cultivate greed and excess? When the banks collapsed a few years ago, and president bush rushed to the rescue, we were told that the banks had to stay in business. But “why”? If we truly lived in a free enterprise society, businesses should be allowed to…

Sharia Law in London and the coming battlefield

Over the past year, maybe 2 years, I have been hearing about how certain groups are calling for sharia law to be imposed in places like London. The problem I see, London already has its own set of laws.

And I thought Catholics and Pentecostals were pushy with their religions.

It seems that Europe is going to be a battlefield of not only religion, but also for ideology. Our democratic society, our tolerance and our kindness is going to be our downfall.

    Manufacturing base and national security

Smoker for SHTFAbout the author: Kevin Felts graduated high school in 1986. After high school, Kevin went to work in a welding shop that built ASME certified pressure vessels. In 1987 Kevin went to work for a company that built AMSE certified heat exchangers. After working 4 years building heat exchangers, Kevin moved from shop to shop, until he went to community college and went into computers. In all, Kevin has around 14 – 15 years experience in the welding field.

Think working in a factory is only for stupid people that can not make it in college? Think free trade is good? Think cheap products from china (or anywhere else) is a good thing?

    Think again.

Besides economic stability, a strong manufacturing base can be retooled during times of war.

One of the problems with the USA, Canada,,, and the rest of the world, we have forgotten what its like to be in a “real” war. This war in Iraq is not a war where our cities are being bombed. We do not even have to buy war bonds like people did during WW2.

If the US went to war with someone like Russia or china, we have no steel mills, we have only a couple of ship yards spread out through the country to build ships with, most of our steel is made overseas, most of our welding tools are made overseas. The shipyards from the 1940s and 1950s have been demolished. All that remains in some locations is an open field. There “might” be left-overs from the old ships yards, but they are far and few in between.

Re election of obama built on lies and deceit

Angelina river Jasper TexasThe rumor mill says that the assassination (or murder) of Anwar al-Awlaki is go9ing to boost the chances that obama will get elected.

Its a sad day for the USA when an elected official can murder US citizens without due process, and that official stands a good chance of getting re-elected. Anyone who applauds the murder of a citizen with no due process, has no place serving in public office.

This supposed “war on terror” that the US is supposed to be in, is no longer a war on terror, its a war on anyone that disagrees with US foreign policy.

The only reason why George Washington is not recorded in history as a terrorist, is because the British lost. If the red coats would have won the revolutionary war, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson,,,, all everyone else that fought for freedom would have been labeled a traitor and put to death. 200+ years later, we might have even considered the founding fathers terrorist.

    Will you stand up

If you do not stand for something, you will fall for anything. I stand up for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is the right of everyone, and not a select few. I stand up so that everyone, regardless of race, religion, sex or location, can have the right to a trial by an…

    Assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki

Since when is it ok to kill US citizens without due process?  With the assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki, I guess its open hunting season on people who speak out against the US Government. Where do we draw the line? Was Anwar al-Awlaki on the street shooting people? No, he was not. He was on the…

Save as much money as possible

Weldbilt boat on the Angelina RiverAnd I do not mean for retirement (saving for retirement helps, but most of us are not there yet). From news about food prices going up 18.5% from January – September 2011, the Bank of America laying off 30,000 employees, to the new reports on credit card debt owed buy the average American,,,, I do not think we are going to pull out of this recession anytime soon.

The US government has spent so much money, that we will never be able to pay it off. Our great-grand children have been saddled with such a great tax burden, that there is no hope for the future generations.

This Bank of America is a troubling sign. Banks do not like to lose money. In fact there are all kinds of laws to protect banks from losing money. It was just a few months ago that the Federal government cut the banks a blank check, most of which went to performance bonuses.

If you judge the health of a nation but how stable its banks are, and one of the largest banks is laying people off, what does that say? It says the USA is in some deep crap.

Obama shows how much he cares about freedom

If you really want to know how much president obama cares about freedom, just take a look at how the Dalai Lama has been treated by obama. Obama did not meet with the Dalai Lama until “after” obama made a trip to China. Obama did not meet with the Dalai Lama in the oval office.…

    A slave to the government

In a 1942 US Supreme Court ruling, it was determined that Ohio farmer Roscoe Filburn could not grow wheat on his own property. Congress, under the interstate commerce act, had the power to stop Roscoe from growing his own wheat, instead of buying it on the national market. By growing his own wheat, Roscoe Filburn…
