Mail an AR 15 magazine to a gun control politician

Posted by Kevin Felts On April 14, 2014 1 Comment
Stockpiling magazines

As a form of civil disobedience, I think residents in red states should mail 30 round AR and AK magazines to the governors of blue states.

I am pretty sure most AR and AK owners have some junk 30 round magazines laying around. Maybe bent feed lips, maybe magazines that just do not work right.

Lets package those magazines up and mail them to places like the mayor of Washington DC, governor of Connecticut, governor of Colorado, governor of Maryland.

This post started off about Russian President Putin and how much of a failed leader our own president is. Then I got off on a tangent about free trade and jobs. The end result was just some kind of random thought article.

While looking for news on the Crimea situation I came across an article on the Wall Street Journal – Warnings From the Ukraine Crisis.

I do not fully agree with the author, but I do agree with a lot of what she says. One comment should ring a rang a wake up call for the United States,

We have been a nation divided for a long time. Whether the division was by race, sex, sexual preference, religion, political party,,, we have been and will continue to be a nation divided.

Since the late 1960s and 1970s we have become more divided with each passing decade. This division shows in the quality of our elected officials.

Beaumont Texas man arrested for carrying rifle

Posted by Kevin Felts On January 4, 2014 0 Comments

KBMT news is reporting Beaumont police arrested a man for lawfully carrying a rifle. The incident happening in Parkdale Mall in Beaumont Texas. It is reported that he has a store in the mall where he sells firearm accessories, but no actual firearms are sold there. He was allowed to have the rifle at the store for demonstration purposes. While walking to the store, with the AR-15 slung over his back, several people called the police. The police responded and arrested the man.

I never thought I would see the day when a police force in southeast Texas did not support gun rights. The article says the man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Chances are the guy will be charged under Section 42.01 of the Texas Penal Code, which states,

Sec. 42.01. DISORDERLY CONDUCT. (8) displays a firearm or other deadly weapon in a public place in a manner calculated to alarm;

The problem is, the rifle was slung over the guys shoulder, muzzle down. This is in no way “calculated to alarm”.

Parents of daughters likely to vote republican

Posted by Kevin Felts On November 27, 2013 0 Comments

There is an article on yahoo shine about why parents of daughters are more likely to vote Republican than to vote democrat.

While the article is “kind of” insightful, I think it misses the mark. Rather than focusing on core Republican values, the article goes off into left field talking about sex.

Sex is a small part of the issue. The larger issue at hand is this thing called “responsibility.”

The article states,

Parents of daughters, it seems, have an interest in reducing male promiscuity.

Personally, I think male promiscuity has little to do with the issue. The larger issue here is taking responsibility for your actions.

The coming healthcare bubble

Posted by Kevin Felts On October 30, 2013 0 Comments

This affordable healthcare act is just the tip of an iceberg. The rest of the iceberg has been ignored for years, maybe even decades.

As far back as I can remember my health insurance premiums have gone up every year. Even has my wages stagnated for 20 years my health insurance has gone up.

When I was working for Kingwood cablevision I would get the yearly review around August, and the usual BS excuse that all the company could afford was a 2% raise. But at the same time the stock holders would get paid a nice dividend. During my review I told my supervisor that the raise would not cover the rise in health insurance premiums. My supervisor asked how I knew our healthcare premiums were going up? I told him they go up every January.

Freedom of speech in private places

Posted by Kevin Felts On August 21, 2013 1 Comment

This council woman in San Antonio made some comments in a private area, to a select few people. Someone recorded the comments, then the comments were released to the news media. There were some protest, and she has been asked to resign her position. Then there are the Paula Deen comments about black people. Why  [ Read More ]

Clown Who Wore an Obama Mask

Posted by Kevin Felts On August 15, 2013 0 Comments

For those of you who have been sleeping under a rock may not know, a clown in the Missouri State Fair wore an Obama mask during the performance.

Here is the funny part, people are actually upset about it. The Missouri chapter of the NAACP has called for a federal investigation into a rodeo clown.

What good is our right to political speech if we do not use it? If mocking the president is not protected speech, then what is?

The Question That Needs To Be Asked

Posted by Kevin Felts On May 1, 2013 0 Comments

I would like to ask the readers of this blog a question, do you feel the United States is headed towards an armed rebellion?

[poll id="16"]

I often wonder how much more the middle class can take before something breaks?

How many jobs have to go to China?

How many taxes can the government levy?

How many people have to go on welfare?

How many illegal immigrants have to be allowed in the nation?

How many people have to die in this so called “war on terror?”

What has to happen before the people say enough is enough?

Justification For Owning An AR-15

Posted by Kevin Felts On April 25, 2013 5 Comments

Ever since the Sandy Hook shooting gun owners have been having to justify their reasons for owning an AR-15. Personally, I think the only reason that needs to be given is “because I want one.” I feel that I should not have to “justify” my choices in which firearm I wish to own. As a law abiding citizen there is no chance my AR is going to be used in a crime. And as a law abiding citizen I seen no reason to explain myself to anyone.Kevin Felts, blogger and survivalist

Free men do not explain themselves, we do as we wish when we wish.

Servants, slaves and criminals explain themselves.

With that being said, I would like to provide my opinion on some of the current explanations as to why people own an AR-15. I am in no way justifying my ownership of an AR-15, because rights do not have to be justified. I am giving reasons why I choose to own an AR-15.

Did You Support The Expanded Background Check

Posted by Kevin Felts On April 18, 2013 0 Comments

Simple question, did you support the expanded background check? People claim close to 80% of the general population supported the bill. So I would like to know what this community thought about it. If you wish to discuss the expanded background check, post your comments in this forum thread.  Or, post your comments in the  [ Read More ]

The Boston Marathon Bombings

Posted by Kevin Felts On April 17, 2013 0 Comments

Someone on facebook sent me a message and asked what I thought about the Boston bombing.

Short answer – what happened was terrible and I hope the SOB that did this is brought to justice.

Medium answer – How do we find justice for killing and maiming others?

Is putting someone in prison justice?

Is putting someone to death for killing others justice?Kevin Felts, blogger and survivalist

Lets take Timothy McVeigh for an example. Did putting him to death bring justice to those he killed and/or injured? At the time putting Timothy McVeigh to death may have sounded like a good idea. But in the long run I think he got off light. Timothy McVeigh is dead, and we still have to live with the memory of what he did.

How do we find justice for people who had their legs blown off, or had a son killed, or had a daughter killed?

Putting someone in prison is not justice, that is punishment.

We Need More Bomb Control

Posted by Kevin Felts On April 16, 2013 0 Comments

After the events in Boston is has become clear that we need more bomb control.

Here is what I purpose:

7 day waiting period on buying a bomb – This is a cool off time to make sure someone is not buying a bomb to kill a jilted lover. The cool off period is to give the person buying the bomb time to think about their actions.

We do not want someone buying a bomb in haste or while they are angry.

Background check for all bomb purchases – We want to make sure bombs do not fall into the wrong hands. The background check is to make sure those buying a bomb are not criminals (like criminals care about laws).

Universal Background Checks

Posted by Kevin Felts On April 3, 2013 0 Comments

There is an old saying, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. This is why I visit a number of liberal biased websites throughout the day. Because I want to know what kind of filth and lies the liberal news media is spreading.

One such article I read today talked about the universal background check. In a round-about manner the article asked who in their right mind would be opposed to a universal background check?Kevin Felts blogger and survivalist

I for one am opposed to a universal background check for all firearm purchases.

Here are 5 reasons why I oppose the universal background check system.

1. Gifts and wills – Will my daughter have to go through a background check before I can buy her a firearm for her birthday?

When I pass away, will my grandchildren have to go through a background check before they take possession of a family heirloom shotgun?

Random Thoughts February 27 2013

Posted by Kevin Felts On February 27, 2013 1 Comment

We have a lot to talk about. Rather then break these topics down into individual post, lets jut make another random thoughts post.

Colorado has gone off the deep end with gun control. This time they want to make make sellers of semiautomatic rifles responsible for the actions of the end users. It’s laughable what the gun hating liberals are trying to push through. Making gun sellers responsible, is like making Ford, Toyota or GM responsible for drunk drivers.Kevin Felts, blogger and survivalist

Feinstein’s ‘assault weapon’ ban goes to committee. When is the government going to address the real cause of gun violence? Our nation is being overran with debt, banks are getting a steady handout of $85 billion a month from the federal reserve, Iran is working its way to becoming a nuclear power,,, and Dianne Feinstein is worried about gun control? Holy crap, really?

A buddy of mine passed away, his memorial service is going to be March 2.

AR-15 prices are slowing coming down. Instead of a colt 6920 costing $3,000, prices are down to around $2,000. Other brand name ARs are floating around double their price before Sandy Hook.

Come and Take It

Posted by Kevin Felts On February 12, 2013 0 Comments

As a free people it is our right to keep and bear arms. The government has no right, nor the ability to take those rights from us.

Let us remember 1776, 1812, 1836 and 1844. The people will not lay down their arms at the whelm of a rogue government.
